Malinda W. CARSON(Jan. 28,1800-Oct. 3, 1850) married Robert Carson PATTERSON on Feb. 20, 1815 in Williamson Co., TN. They moved to Perry Co., and are buried in Pineview-Pace Cemetery there. They may also have lived in Bedford Co. TN before moving to Perry Co. Who are her parents and siblings? Her grandfather may have been John CARSON born 1710 in Ireland and died 1762 in Bedford Co. VA

I am searching for data on Jehu HAYNES, s/o Abraham E.S. HAYNES and Margaret Catherine REID (all three died in Bed ford Co); he married Margaret/Maggie DENNIS. In searching for my gggrandparents, I have found a descrepancy. One chart shows Cassandra CLARK(my gggrandmother) married to W. Jourdan HALE and another chart shows Jordan Rees HALE. BUTNER GRAVEYARD? CRICK

I've been told that my ancestors are buried in Bedford Co., in the BUTNER graveyard, which is 7 miles from War Trace. In the late 1970's, my mother hired a researcher to go 7 miles in all directions from War Trace and ask people in the area about this cemetery. No one had heard of it. Also had someone search records, but found nothing. Does anyone have any info on this cemetery or on the BUTNER or CRICK surname in Bedford Co. in the 1800s? Thanks, Mel

I live in Idaho and I am researching our 4th great grandparents, Thomas COLE and his wife Elizabeth, of Bedford county. I found information in "History of Rover and the 10th District of Bedford County" that a Thomas COLE's family lived near "Byler Bottoms", (Bedford County?). Can anyone give me a physical description of where Byler Bottoms might be? Also, there was a burial of Thomas COLE in the Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church yard. Can anyone tell me where this is? NC) John WHITESELL b. 30 Nov 1777 Virginia d. 5 April 1842 Lewisburg, Marshall Co. ,TN In Deed Book O 1821-22 Jacob gave land to two of his sons.. is it possible that he also gave land to his daughter Amelia (I have not seen the record in Deed Book 0 1821-22 - but was told to look there. Does anyone have access to Deed Book ?) Apparently no one has ever used Amelia's descendents as a line from Jacob in DAR - I hope that I can find the proof to open this line for other descendants.

RUSHING, SPRINGER

Seeking further details on the family of William RUSHING and Susan SPRINGER. William RUSHING was b. about 1822 and died during the Civil War in 1864. His wife, the dau. of Dennis PRINGER and Sarah COOPER, lived until about 1898. Looking for complete death date for her. They had 11 children, all born between 1845 and 1863, most born in Bedford Co. These were Nathan Dennis, Sarah J. Drusilla C. , Rebecca Elizabeth, Martha Franklin, James Monroe, Mary, Robert H., John L., William T., and Josiah Dixon RUSHING. Have birth dates for children, but would like death dates.

GREAVES, DICKSON, SMITH

Would like to make contact with anyone researching Jonathan GREAVES and his wife, Elizabeth DICKSON, daughter of Gen. Joseph DICKSON of Rutherford Co. The GREAVES family were very early settlers of Bedford Co.; also searching for their son, Joseph Decatur GREAVES and his wife Virginia SMITH, daughter of Major Robert SMITH and Mary JARRETT, also of Rutherford Co. The Greaves left Bedford Co. about 1820 and moved to Lauderdale Co. AL; but some of their children stayed behind in TN.

DALBY, WOOD

Dalby, Wood Agnes B. Dalby d/o Knight Dalby and Nancy Ann Bullock m. ____ Wood. The Dalby's moved from Granville Co., N.C. to Bedford Co., Tn. about 1827. Agnes Dalby Wood had five children: Sarah Ann F.(Frances?)m.1842 Gabriel Thompson; William M.(Micajah?) m.1851 Mary Ellen Brown; Rachel W. m. 1846 Peter H Waite; Jane m.1849 John W. Womble; and Knight Dalby m.? Martha A.. This family, except for Agnes's father, moved to the Republic of Texas and founded Dalby Springs, Bowie Co.. Am searching for Agnes B. Dalby Wood's husband's given name. 4-2-1999
