FREEMANJames L. FREEMAN was born in Tennessee in 1817. He
appears on the 1850 Miss. Census in Choctaw Co. and the 1860
Tx. Census in Bastrop Co. I have been unable to find his
birthplace in Tennessee or his parents names. There are some
FREEMANS listed on the Tennessee.1820 Census, Alexander,
Allen, Joseph, Russel and William. Does anyone know if any
of these are related to James L. The eldest son of James L.
born in Miss. was named William Allen.

LEDBETTERMartin S. LEDBETTER and his wife, Eliza McKinley
LEDBETTER, had at least ten children. Five of those were:

PEARSON, ARNOLDI'm looking for any information on John Harvey PEARSON
1855-1931 and wife Eudora ARNOLD PEARSON 1864-1909. I found
their marriage in a Bedford County Marriage Book (September
23, 1880) but I haven't been able to find out anything about
who their parents and siblings might have been. They moved
to Giles County at some point and spent the rest of their

through William's family this could lead me to James'

CARNEY - WARMOUTHI have an old document which states "Thomas Carney was
born near Nashville, Tennessee and married to Nancy Warmouth
to them was born 9 children". I also have a Family Group
sheet on Thomas Carney which states he was born Ca. 1790
(1789 per another researcher). 59 in 1850 Census). Census
record states that he was born in South Carolina. Was
Nashville in South Carolina at that time? He and his family
left Tennessee in 1813 and migrated to Edwards County, IL
with other families of Greathouse, Shelby, Hill, Bell, Henry
Curtis, Alexander Orr. I have been given a clue that there
is a note that states they were from Grayville, TN. Can
anyone tell me where Grayville might be? We have a lot of
information from Thomas to the present generation. Would

in Bedford County. Married Manervia P WADLEY b 11/09/1821 d
7/29/1902. Were my gg-grandparents. His descendants lived in
Bedford and Marshall counties. May be related to Rev Edward
OSTEEN (b 9/01/1801 d 1/03/1869 buried in same cemetery) and
possibly to David OSTEEN (Rev War soldier buried in same
cemetery). Also working on descendants of Wm J. I have
photos and other 19th century info. Other names from same
area - WADLEY need ancestor info on John WADLEY (father of
Manervia above) and his wife (Mary) both buried in Rogers
Cemetery which is also near Cedar Grove Church, Sarah
Frances (Sally Fannie) GREGORY who married Wm J's son James
R OSTEEN (my g-grandparents) both buried in Osteen Cemetery,
Robert W WAGONER died in Murfreesboro in 1920s my
g-grandfather and his wife Della PARKER (?) who died late
1890s and is buried somewhere near the Osteens.
BARNESMy gggrandfather, Sewell Osgood Barnes, shows as being
born in Richmond, Bedford, Tennessee on 6/30/1853. I can
find no mention or record of that town's existance. His
parents were married in Richmond, VA. Is it possible that
these two towns are the same or was there a Richmond, TN?

JONATHAN BRITTAIN/BRITTONJonathan BRITTON/BRITTAIN was born in 1808/1810 at
Bedford Co, TN. He married Sarah RAGSDALE. Date unknown. Was
in Fayetee Co., IL. in 1840 or 1850. Had 7seven children by
Sarah. Sarah died and was buried in the BRITTON Cemetery.
Jonathan married the second time to Margaret (DYCUS)
RICHARDSON. Margaret and Jonathan had seven children and now
we have fourteen. Jonathan and Margaret had seven more
children in Illinois. Now we have twenty-one children.
Margaret died when and where unknown. Jonathan married for
the third time to Rebecca Reeves and she died place unknown.
Jonathan then moved to AR. where he died in 1887 and is
buried there. According to his marriage to Margaret his
father was Thomas BRITTON and he came to Il. in 1830. Is
this really his father and who were his brothers and
sisters.

JONESI am seeking information on Elias JONES, born in North
Carolina. There is an Elias JONES listed in the 1850 Bedford
County Census. His son, James Alexander, born June 21, 1840,
Marshall County, Tennessee was my great grandfather. Elias
may have also lived in Marshall County. Elias was listed to
be 52 years of age in 1850 and James A. 8 years. James was

FRANCIS LARKIN JOHNSON AND MATTIE (MARTHA) PRINCEI would like to know if there are any property transfers
and descriptions of these properties. I know that Larkin
Johnson died in 1925 and that the owned a farm on which
foreclosure proceedings were processed. I would like, if
possible, to know the extent and descsription of that
property or any found in his name around Wartrace, Normandy,
