HUFFAR (HUFFER, HOUGHER)

I have been trying to find living descendants of George Stephen HUFFAR (HUFFER, HOUGHER) and Lucile Caroline DUNAWAY for many years. Steve HUFFAR was b. 14 Dec. 1883, Coffee Co., TN and d. 14 June 1933 in Gadsden, Etowah Co., AL. He married Lucile DUNAWAY (b. 7 May 1888, Bedford Co., TN, d. 9 May 1953 in Gadsden) on 5 Nov. 1905, Coffee Co., TN. The couple moved to the Gadsden/Atalla, Alabama area sometime in 1906. Two children were born to them: Vernon HUFFAR (ba Jul 1906) and Mildred Thressa HUFFAR (b. 4 Sept. 1907, d. Dec. 1983, md. Emory Jackson Harris). Does anyone know how I can contact these folks or their descendants? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I share my information and I document my work. Please email me.

CRUTCHER

I have been trying to find information on this CRUTCHER line for many years - can you help? Martha Belle G. DUNAWAY (b. 1855 TN) married Frank N. CRUTCHER (ba 1855-1856 TN) on 2 Sept. 1876, Bedford Co., TN. I cannot find the couple again. I am wondering if Martha died and Frank moved to Robertson Co., TX. I found a Frank CRUTCHER (ba 1851, TN)enumerated with Lucy B. (ba 1858, MS) and son, Edward (born May 1880 TX) in the Robertson Co., TX 1880 Census. This family is then found in the Bexar Co., TX 1900 Census. Frank (with larger family) is shown as being born Aug. 1855, TN; while Lucy is listed as being born Nov. 1852, MS. Is this the same Frank CRUTCHER that married Martha DUNAWAY? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I share my information and I document my work. Please email me.

Then in 1927 my mother, Elwyn Tryphenia CAROTHERS was born in Chattanooga, TN. I attempted to do some genealogy a number of years ago but was given so much mis-information I finally gave up. GOBBELL, GOBBLE, GOBBEL

James Riley GOBBELL was born in Bedford Co., Tn. on July 17, 1826. He lived with his parents John Gobble and Ruhamy Maner Gobble in the Flat Creek area of the county. I would like to know who his first wife was and any pertinent info about their life in Bedford Co. His first wife survived until 1853 because their son, John R. Gobbell ,my g-grandfather, was born on Apr. 4, 1853. Most of them moved on to the Lawrence/Wayne Co., Tn. area. Anyone with knowledge of Flatcreek cemeteries, birth, marriage, death records etc., may be able to help find this missing link. Thanks in advance.

BROWDER/BAIN/BAINES

My GGrandmother Molly D. (Dee) Bain/Baines was from Bedford County TN and married Richard Browder. This marriage ended in a divorce but produced one child, Willie Pearl Browder Clark. Molly D. (Dee) Bain remarried, this time to a Mr. Middleton. I know that Molly has relatives that are still in the Bedford County area , it is very possible that she could have had brothers and sisters. Please , if you know of this Molly D. Bain ( Willie Pearl Browder Clark was born in 1900), please get in touch with me. I am desperately trying to trace that line of my family back. I appreciate any help that any of you can give me. I do think that Molly was from Shelbyville. Thank you.
