WOODS -1800S TN

I was wondering if anyone has the names of William and Mary (Harris) Woods' children. I'm particularly interested in any William Woods and James Woods who show up down the line. Family lore indicates my ggrandfather's went by initials (J.C., J.F., etc) but was called Jim." Jim was born about 1850 and his wife was supposedly named Barbara Fox or Cox . Their son, my grandfather was a Leroy, called Roy, Woods, born in 1878 supposedly in Greeneville TN, but there is no record on him for the 1880 Greene County Census. And, lest I forget, "Jim's" father was named William, and both William and "Jim" were supposedly preachers. Any of this ring any bells? Thanks for your help.

Seeking information on Nancy (Nannie) JENKINS b. abt 1859,m. Thomas Marion CASTEEL. 1880 Bedford Co. census show them living next door to his father James Preston CASTEEL. PATTERSON

Is the James Patterson age 27, b in TN,in the Lincoln County, TN census the same James Patterson found in Bedford County? His Mother was Nancy and he and Martha and their family are living in the household of George Kirkland and wife Susan, who is James Patterson's sister. An assumption is that the Harris children also found in this household are children of a dead daughter. Am having problems deciding which James is which due to the change in the county lines and the formation of Moore County which is where I think my Pattersons would have lived. Thank you.
