MOOREI want to apologize for an error I made on information
concerning Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Bedford Co. I originally
sent information concerning the destruction of this cemetery
to Mary Austin thinking since I had seen this cemetery that
I must be correct. She contacted the Marshes, Bedford Co.
historians. They checked the cemetery and found no evidence
of vandalism and markers still standing, though somewhat
hidden in the weeds. I had been told by neighbors and a
local librarian in the genealogy dept. that the cemetery I
had visited was the Mt. Moriah cemetery. I deeply regret the
error and the anxiousness I may have caused anyone. Can
anyone give me directions to Mt. Moriah? I would appreciate
any help and will try my best to prove beyond a shadow of a
doubt any information I gain in the future.
