NORRIS
I am looking for information on a David NORRIS,born 1800 York Dist.,SC. Also his son, John, and family. I have located them on censusthere. Does anyone have material on these people other than thecensus records? David's father might be Simon William Norris, ofWhite County, TN, or Abner Norris, also of White County. There is agood deal of confusion over Simon William Norris, and a William Sr,asto whether they are one and the same, or different men; I believethey are different entirely; and over Simon William or Abner, as thefather of David born 1800. If anyone has discovered anythingconclusive to prove the relationship one way or the other, I wouldreally appreciate seeing it. There is supposed to be a will left byAbner Norris, wherein he names son David as his administrator. I havenot found this will. It would be great to know if there was any realproof in it that his David is the one born 1800 York Dist., SC. Several researchers believe so; I guess I just need to see someproof.David i
