Looking for ancestors of Wiley Blount Dailey (b 1829) and married Elizabeth Ann Walker in 1865. Reported to have been Confederate soldier from TN. Also looking for info on John Lafayette Mason's ancestors. He and his wife Susanna (Ingram) moved to Blou nt Co. approximately 1900. Both Dailey and Mason families settled in "Big Gully" area of Blount Co. and are buried in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

WALLACE-WALLIS Need any information on Andrew WALLIS/WALLACE. He married Margaret CALBREATH in 1796 in Augusta County, Virginia. Andrew and Margaret were present in Augusta, VA for the settlement of Margaret's father's estate, Thomas Calbreath (also spell ed Galbraith), in 1801. There are tax records in Blount County during the years 1801-1803 for Andrew Wallace and jury duty. Nothing else is known of them until the 1830 census where Margaret appears as the head of household in Smith County Tennessee sugge s ing Andrew was deceased prior to 1830. Andrew and Margaret had a son, who I am descended from, named Thomas M. WALLIS/WALLACE. He was born in 1805 and claims Tennessee as his place of birth. Thomas M. WALLIS/WALLACE married Jane CALBREATH, his cousin, in a. 1825. Thomas M. WALLIS/WALLACE appears in census of 1840, 1850, as head of household with Margaret as a member of his household. Possible siblings of Thomas M. WALLIS/WALLACE are David, James, Jefferson, William C. and Sarah. Any information regarding Andrew WALLIS/WALLACE or Andrew W. WALLIS/WALLACE is dearly needed.
