Frank H. Carey was admitted on trial into the
Holston Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1903 and
became a full member in 1907.
He served acceptably the following appointments: Andersonville, Oliver
Springs, Oakdale, McDonald, Chatata, Tellico Plains, Alton Park, Manker
Memorial, Beaver Ridge, Rockwood, and Dunlap.
He died suddenly while in the midst of the activities of his last
charge. His funeral was conducted by his District Superintendent, R. L.
Stapleton, at the Church in Dunlap, with a large concourse of friends
from far and near. Burial was at Cleveland, Tennessee.
Brother Carey was a good preacher, a good organizer and effective in
his work with young people.
