SOLOMON GRIFFITH
Passed Away at Early Hour Thursday

Uncle Solomon Griffith, aged 74, passed away at his house in the
Pleasant Valley neighborhood this county at five o'clock Thursday
morning, after an illness of three weeks due to pneumonia. Mr. Griffith
leaves a widow, two sons, S. W. Griffith, and J.F. Griffith, and one
daughter, Mrs. Willie Goode, to morun the death of a good husband and
kind father. He served in the Confederate army and made a good record
for faithful and honorable service. He has lived practically all his
life in this county and is one of its pioneer citizens. Mr. Griffith
stood high in the esteem of all who knew him and his death will be
widely and sincerely mourned. Interment at Ocoee Shed at eleven o'clock
Friday.
