In presenting this little pamphlet or neighborhood sketch to my
neighbors, I have endeavored to give a little sketch of all the first
settlers and of all who live here at present. It
may be that I have omitted some, unintentionally, as my means of
gathering information has been conversing with my neighbors and by
depending alone upon memory of what they said.
All that the neighbors have told me, is used
without quotation marks, but acknowledging my thanks to you all, I am
