I am Cecilia Joyner Baker. My father, Fleetwood Boyd Joyner, was born in Buena Vista, Carroll Co. in 1900. I would like to find out more about the Joyner family. His mother is buried in Oak or Shady Grove Cemetery. Her name was Louellen Boyd. She married Isaac Newton Joyner, my grandfather. She died young of meningitis and he had just moved to Houlka, MS (1906) and was going to move the rest of the family when he learned that she had died. He remarried in Houlka to Mary Holland. I would like to know if anyone knows whether Isaac Newton Joyner had other siblings and if they have any surviving relatives. Louellen had three children, Pauline, Kate, and Fleetwood (my father) and they are all deceased now. Their children live mainly in Mississippi and other southern states My nephew William Fleetwood Joyner lives in Phoenix, AR and is also very interested in Genealogy.

I am looking for any information on Dolphus Edear BEAL, b. 20Feb1883, Carrol Co.TN, and of his parents Albert Thomas BEAL, b.26Feb1850 in Henderson Co., TN and Sarah E. HAYNES, b.3Mar1851, in TN. NEELY: Looking for John Leroy NEELY, b. 6 Aug 1815 d. 17 Oct 1874 in MS. His parents were probably John Stuart NEELY and Jane LATTA. His first wife died,(name unknown, maybe Nancy?) with son William Henry, b. 1849? His parents went on to Huntingdon, Carroll Co, before moving on to Pontotoc Co, MS. Seeking information on: HOSEA HAYS MARRIED TO ELIZABETH McCULLOUGH daughters JOANNA CORDELLIA HAYS and ACENA REBECCA HAYS These relatives lived in Carroll Co., TN around 1889. They may have lived in Rutherford Co., TN around 1860's. I am also looking for Elizabeth McCullough's parents who may have been a Beck married to a McCullough. Do you know of a Beck/McCullough connection? The two Hays girls mentioned above married Robeson brothers in Carroll County, TN. Joanna married Robert Amzi Robeson. Researching Uriah Washington Young, married to Effie Katherine Lockhart and their known children: Clarence E. Young, Luther K. Young, Ida Elnora Young, Eva Young, Riley Young and my grandfather, Oscar Young. I know Oscar moved to Tiptonville, TN before 1919 when my father was born (Orville Young). Oscar married a Josephine Dunlap (nee Northam) but I don't know if it was in Carroll County or not. Josephine Northam had a brother, John Wesley Northam. Carroll County is one of the few places in TN with residents whose surname is MCCLERKIN. There are five in the Huntingdon phone book. Is there a rooter there who is working on that family name? My grandfather was Thomas McClerkin and he married Frances Senter who was from Humboldt,TN probably about 1880-1882. My mother Jessie Howard McClerkin was born in Lexington, TN Jan. 7, 1886.
