Lewis Jordan Davis was the son of Wilson Davis and Elizabeth Fletcher Davis.He was born March 11, 1845 and died April 14, 1926. He was buried at McKinney Chapel outside of Rogersville. He married Mary E. Barrett Welch August 15, 1865. She had been married to a William (Billy) Welch who died fighting for the Southern side of the War. He was the father of eight children.
