Volunteer Opportunities

Do you have a little spare time? Do you
enjoy genealogy? Do you appreciate the work others have done to
aid you in your research? Then why not give something back to
the genealogical community? There are many ways to volunteer
your time. I have listed some of them below. If you can think of
others drop me an email and I'll add them here. Volunteer LookupsDo you have a book, microfilm record etc of something that would be of interest to a Claiborne County researcher? If you do and are willing to share a few moments doing a lookup for a fellow researcher drop me a note and tell me what you have to share and I'll list your contact info on the Claiborne County site.Cemetery Transcriptions and PreservationIf you live in or are visiting Claiborne County choose a cemetery from the list and index it. Depending on the size of the cemetery this can be done in as little as a few moments to several hours per week. If you can't get to the area why not transcribe a cemetery locally?
