Married Wealthy TAYLOR of Kentrucky and produced the following children:
Margaret Ann YORK, b. 1834 in TN; John Thomas YORK b. 1835 in Blount Co.,
TN; James M. YORK, b. Dec 30, 1837 in Benton Co., AL; Harrison YORK b.
April 1839 in AL; Stacy Elizabeth YORK b. 1843 in AL; Richard S. YORK b.
Jan 30, 1845 in TN; William R. YORK b. 1850 in TN; and Clifford M. YORK
B. 1856 IN AL. Riley's parents were Semore YORK Jr. and Ann Elizabeth WOOD,
and his siblings were: Sarah YORK, b. 1801 in Grainger Co. TN; Elizabeth
YORK b. 1803 in Grainger Co., TN, and Harrison YORK b. 1807 in Grainger

I would to contact anyone with the information on CARROLL`S, WATSON,
BIRD, HAMBLIN.My father was Eugene Carroll the son of Wesley Carroll b.
1880 d. 12/1952. Wesley was the son of Rubin Carroll and Sarah Watson.
Rubin was killed and Sarah later remarried to a William Brimm in Whitley
Co. Ky. Rubin was the son of James Wesley Carroll. The Bird`s fits in with
Eugene Carroll`s father (Wesley) 1st wife Maud Hamblin. Her parents was
Wesley Hamblin and Mary Jane Bird. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

She married Dave ROSENBALM Feb.2,1832 . I do not know when she died but
they both died in Claborne Co. I would like to know if any one knows who
her mother and father were? I think her father was Drew Harrell, but not
sure.

My great-great grandmother, ELIZABETH THOMAS HYDEN, appears in the
first civil district post office of Speedwell 1870 Census as ELIZABETH
HYDEN with her two sons, SAMUEL and JOHN. It says that she came from Virginia.
SAMUEL, my grandfather, died in 1914; his death certificate lists his father
as "RICE HYDEN". I have found a GEORGE R. HYDEN and wife
ELIZABETH in the 1850 Lee CO. VA. Census. Does anyone have information
on RICE or GEORGE R. HYDEN?

regarding an early settler in Claiborne Co., Joseph CLARK and possibly
his son Leonard Clark. Family tradition has it that Thomas Anderson Clark
migrated from Halifax Co., Va. with his parents and siblings. Possibly
the Anderson connection was before the family arrived in Clairborne Co.

Searching for information on George Slater Thomas (1799? - 1870)
and wife Catherine Ingle(s?) (1801-1887). George is said to be buried beside
a military road from Lambdin house at Tackett Creek and Clear Fork that
passes through Rogers Gap into Powell Valley. Said to be buried in a soapstone
formation. Catherine was buried there with him in 1877. George came from
Lee County to Caliborne County after 1850. He and Catherine had several
sons, Alvin (born 1818) and Henry P.(2/24/1827 - 5/2/1871) are easiest
to follow. Henry P. married a Sidney McKinney (7/7/1929-6/24/1897), probably
from Campbell County, and they moved on to Grainger and Union County. Henry
was in USA, Co 'C' , 1st TN Infantry. Other sons and daughters who might
be recognjzed in the area of Speedwell or Clairfield are Mary, Susannah,
John, Pleasant, William, and George. Mary Ingle(s), mother of Catherine,
lived with George Slater Thomas and Catherine until after 1850 (she was
77 yr old in 1850). Many believe, without any proof that I am aware of,
that George Slater Thomas is son of Revolutionary soldier Jacob Thomas

1921. On December 15, 1874 in Claiborne County he married CHINA ALEMEDA
DUNSMORE who was born January 25, 1858, died May 16, 1944. His parents
were WILLIAM MARSHAL BONES and MARTHA JANE WALDROFF. Her parents were WILLIAM
ELBERT DUNSMORE and LURITIE BREEDING. Would like to receive any information
regarding any of these families. Unknown if William Alexander had any siblings.

Any information on WYATT, Columbus Marion Sr. Suppose to have been
killed in civil war. Had a son named Columbus Marion WYATT Jr. that was
suppose to have taken the name of FARMER. Was in Claiborne county in 1900.
Would appreciate any information as I can find nothing on this family,
or even if there was such a family. Jr. which took the name of Columbus
Marion Farmer moved to TX around 1901.

Elizabeth White/Townsend's name the death certificate of dau Nancy lists
her parents as John TOWSEN and Betsy LONG. Can anyone establish a link
between this family and William LYNCH b ca 1833 who md in Cl Co 2/4/1856
Nancy Catherine Salyers b ca 1840 and also moved from Cl. Co to Owsley
Co., Ky.? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Anderson BARNARD and his second
wife Sarah (Rosenbaum?) who were possibly born around 1870. I believe they
are buried in a cemetary in Clouds Switch. Their children were Laura (b.1897-
d.1970), Homer, Lizzie, Minnie, Martha, and Lily. I am also looking for
information about J.D. TENNYSON and his wife Sarah MINK who were born around
the same time. Some of their children's names are Remer, Walter, Elmer,
Cora, and Cornie. I believe Sarah's mother's name was Marar(spelling?)Mink.
Laura Barnard married Remer Tennyson around 1910.

Looking for Jesse REEVES, born NC 1812/15, as shown in 1870 Hart
Co Ky census, he was married to Mary Anne PRIDDY, she was found in Rutherford
Co 1860 Census with John 2, Sarah 1, Mary parents Joseph and Susannah,
Joseph family came to, first Grainger Co and then Claiborne Co Tenn from
Stokes Co NC about 1840. Jesse REEVES and Mary Anne PRIDDY REEVES (born
abt 1838 Tenn) and her parents left TENN sometime in 1860's to go to Hart
Co Ky. Cant find any info in Jesse REEVES, a book I have claims he was
a vet of CSA in Civil War. Jesse and Mary Anne possible married Stokes
Co NC or someplace in Tenn, probably about 1857. BoB Reeves.

14, LUCY 12, TILMON 5 and BROWNLOW 3. Not sure what happen to BARTON between
1860 and 1870. 1880 Claiborne Co census has MARGARET 43, JOHN 24, GEORGE

families in or from Claiborne County,TN. My g grandfather was John TUTTLE.
He was born possibly in Claiborne Co. in April of 1883. He moved to Bell
Co., KY, in 1900 and married Barbara WILLIAMS (an Indian woman) sometime
that year. Their children were Thomas TUTTLE (1901 - 1984), Kenneth TUTTLE,
Charles TUTTLE, and Caleb TUTTLE. They also had a daughter and possibly
two other boys who died very young. Information on any TUTTLEs from Claiborne
Co. would be greatly appreciated.

has on Richt or Right Holten who lived in Claiborne county in the early
1800s and then was said to have moved to Kentucky. My great grandmother
Lucinda Holten Fortner may have been his daughter but there is no proof.
