State of Tennessee Dickson County This day personally appeared before me J--- Daniel an acting Justice of the peace for said County. JC Daniel and made oath in due form of law that one John Gibs committed an assault and battery upon the person of Jasper S??a?den by striking him upon the head with a (? bar or hoe?)of which he has since died, __? therefore (?serve?) a warrant of arrest Sworn to and subscribed J C Daniel before me.
