Welker Cemetery

Directions to Welker Cemetery: From Hwy 235 in
Slayden, at the flashing light, take Slaydenwood (Maple) Road. Travel for 3/10
mile through Slayden to Center Point Road. Turn Left on Center Point Road and
go approximately 2/10 mile to Rainey Camp Road and turn left. Follow Rainey
Camp Road for approximately 2.2 miles until you see the sign for the Jarman/Welker
Cemetery. Across from this is an old house that sets close to the
road. If you miss the sign and continue on Rainey Camp Road within 6/10 mile
you come to Leatherwood Road. At the sign for Jarman/Welker Cemetery,
turn left onto a pasture trail. You will cross a creek, which is drivable, and
continue up a hill until you come to the Jarman Cemetery, which
has a chain link fence around the cemetery. The Welker Cemetery
is just past the Jarman Cemetery. The caretaker of the land is
Lester Jarman and resides in the house just before turning onto the cemetery
trail.

not Want". As told by Mr. Jarman, Mary was stillborn.
