CEMETERY
RECORDS
The Franklin County Historical Society published and copyrighted the Cemetery Records of Franklin County, Tennessee in 1984. The book is
presently at the printers for its second printing.
It would be great to have corrections to tombstone readings and readings of stones that have not
been published before. In some instances, there was more information on the stones than made it
into the cemetery book. It would be great to get that additonal information. A list of all the
cemeteries, the condition of the cemetery and an indepth description on how to get there would
be a great project for this site.
Some of the cemeteries are in remote areas of Franklin County. The best time to go to those
cemeteries would be around late October to March 'cause we have lots of ticks and rattlers
here!
