In the 1830's a wagon train left Franklin County, led by John

William had received land from a grant of Hawkins Cook..deceased. This family, along with
in-laws, Campbells, Walkers, Youngs all came and settled, raised families, and became Law
officers, Judges, store keepers, and good citizens. Apparently, they were wealthy, as they had

Seeking info on James and Rachel RODGERS. James recorded a will on Aug 8, 1808 in Franklin
Co leaving his land and furnishings to Rachel, and 5 shillings each to his children James R.
RODGERS, Elizabeth MAYFIELD, Thomas RODGERS, Lucy DONNEY, William BRADY,
Isom(?) BRADLY (sic), John RODGERS, Sally PRICHARD, Samuel RODGERS, Solomon
RODGERS, and Robert RODGERS. However, this will was not probated in Franklin, so
where/when did he actually die? I have info on Samuel, John and Solomon (my line) and I believe
coincidence is too much for these not to be bro's and sons of James as listed above. John is known
to be born June 6, 1785 TN, no further details on any others' b. I will answer all replies, thanks in
advance.
