Looking for information on James H. RODDY, B 1816 in VA, and wife Sarah STOTTS, B 1824, Warren Co., TN. The family was listed on the 1870 Census of Franklin Co., TN. Cannot find any other information on them. We believe DOD for James is Nov. 1, 1893 and Sarah's is Mar 31, 1891. They had three boys, Andrew Jackson "Taylor," William Josephus and Robert "Bob". We know William J. went to Craighead Co. AR and Andrew Jackson went to Ada, OK. Trying to determine if James and Sarah died in Franklin Co. and if so, where are they buried? I am doing research on the Nabors or any spelling there of in Franklin co Tenn. Interested in Nabors that were Blacksmith's. My ancestor is Orlando S. Nabors, born in Tenn 1826, blacksmith by trade, as was his father and two generations forward. Orlando moved to Dangerfield Texas in 1853. He served in the Civil war in the 27th Calvary Whitfield's Legion Dangerfield Texas as company blacksmith. His father is Nathan Nabors found in Madison Co Alabama in 1850. Lewis Powell, Obediah Powell and Lewis Watson are listed in the 1812 Tax Lists for Franklin Co., TN. his Lewis Powell was born 1780 in SC, married Patience Watson in 1803 in GA Hancock County. He was in TN before 1809. Drafted into military in 1814. I cannot find anything on Obediah Powell. Is this Lewis Watson the same as Lewis Watson who died abt. 1846 in Talladega Co., Alabama. We do know that John Bowen was from somewhere in Va. and that he was in Franklin Co., Tn. by 1812 because he is listed on the tax list for that year. His daughter Mary married Bluford Bethell, brother of Larkin Bethell. John PERKINS b. 5/11/1765 in Halifax Co., VA. His father died while he was young and he took the name of mother's second husband, Thomas Carson. He enlisted 1781 in VA Militia under the name of Thomas Carson. Per Franklin County Court Minutes, John Perkins and/or Thomas Carson made application for Revolutionary War Pension in Franklin Co. in the August term of 1832 and May term of 1834. WALKER
I am looking for information on my g-father, Taylor WALKER, who was married to Lizzie Pierce and had one daughter - Ranee Lee. They were divorced and he remarried and had children by his second wife. He died in 1917 in Franklin Co. and is buried in Sewanee TN. I have been unable to find the gravesite because there is no stone and the cemetery records are missing from around that time.

I am searching for the parents of John Hiles Russell born in Bedford County ABT 1830. He has a relative James T. Russell who is in the Franklin County, Tennesee census in 1850. John H. left Bedford County and moved to Graves County Kentucy in the mid 1850's. Father could possible be William or John in Franklin or Bedford Counties, Tennessee. He is found witnessing a will in Franklin County of land from James T. Russell to William C. Russell abt 1851.

I am searching the COOK family of Franklin Co. Tenn...Henry Cook, born in middle 1700's was the patriach..his son George, married to Jane Wooldridge were parents to Ggrandfather..John Cook. According to Henry 's Rev. War Records, he resided in Franklin Co for 15 years, before moving to Carroll Co, Tenn, where he died at the age of 80 some years. My John, son of George, was born in Franklin Co. in 1824-25..documented by his Civil War Records..from Arkansas where he lived in Civil War. He was discharged in TEnn. for medical reasons and given money >( 10 cents per mile) to go back to Greene Co. Arkansas..when he was discharged. I am researching my gr.gr.grandfather, NIMROD SAND(R)IDGE (b.1804-10 in Albermarle Co., Va., and later lived in Franklin Co., Tn., then moved to Marshall Co., Ala.) NIMROD was married to: (1) Frances Donaldson - 5 children (2) Mrs. Elizabeth "Betsy" (Sanders) Smith - no children) and (3) Eliza Jane Terrell - 2 children. I believe his father was NATHAN (?) WAGGONER
I am searching for information about James Monroe Waggoner (c.1870's) He married a Josephine Jansen. I have that wedding certificate for Belvidere. I also have a photograph of him with his young daughter. He appears to be in a policeman's uniform. This is my great-grandfather and I would really like to find out more information about him. He had four children, I believe -- James Walter Waggoner (my grandfather), Daisy Mae Waggoner, Annie Waggoner and Nora Waggoner (who I believed did not live past age 4). James M. KELLY, b (c1805 - c1845), married abt 1827 Anna H (?),(1805 - 8/28/1875). Children: All born in Marion County, TN; John R. b1828, Riley A. b 1830, Amanda 11/28/1833, George Washington b 5/24/1838, and William b 1840. James M. appears in 1830 and 1840 Marion County Census. Anna is listed as HOH in 1850 Marion census. Anna is living with Riley A. in 1870 Lawrence County (Black River TW) AR census. Family may have lived in MO in 1860's. Searching for parents of James M. KELLY and Anna and any other info on this family. Were they in Franklin County before going to Marion? How are they related to the Franklin County KELLYS?

Charles Whitson ALEXANDER,b.1859,was a son of Henry Vincent ALEXANDER b.1824.His wife Nana Caroline KNOX,was a dau. of Catherine BROOKS and C.F.Augustus KNOX. They lived in Winchester for a time after their marriage in 1889. Perhaps there was family in this area. Would appreciate information.

Searching Franklin County, TN for info regarding my G-G-grandfather, Nathaniel Russell. Need to know if he was the brother or son of Henry RUSSELL, the immigrant, or General William RUSSELL, Jr. One of Nathaniel's children was my great-grandfather, John W(iley?) RUSSELL, b. 1831 in KY. I need the names of Nathiniel's, siblings, wife (wives)and their children. Nathaniel RUSSELL'S wife a lady named Eonia? Desire information on Everett B. MOORE, who was in Franklin Co. between the censuses of 1820 and 1830 and was therefore not included in either one. Believe he lived in the area of Winchester and had among his children Sarah Foley MOORE, Caroline MOORE (b.1820), Sophia MOORE, and other daughters and a son William Everett MOORE.
