The above is a section from a Maury County map that also included part of Giles, Lawrence and Lewis, which was part of an 1851 Tennessee State Supreme Court Case involving county boundaries, which was created by Fred Smoot for TNGenWeb's Maps Our Ancestors Followed (See 1851 Maury County Tennessee Map for more information).
While the map shows very little detail, it does show the lines that divided Tennessee's 2nd, 7th and 8th Surveyors' Districts, including section and range for part of the 7th District and all of the 8th. It also shows Giles' original northern county line (prior to the 1870 annexation of northeasternmost Giles by Marshall County).
