THOMAS McKISSACK or McKISSICK applied for his pension on 13 Mar 1822 in Giles County, declaring that he had served in the North Carolina line and had "late moved to Giles county from North Carolina" (File No. S164). The 1835 Federal pension rolls show Thomas McKISSICK of Giles County, Tennessee with revolutionary service as a Private in the Tennessee Mounted Militia, Col. Patterson's Regiment. His annual allowance $36.00, with (blank) total received, and also an annual allowance of $57.60, and $172.80 total received (????), and his pension as having started on 8 Apr 1823. (No age stated)

Thomas McKissack Jones (1816-92) m. 1st 1838 Marietta Perkins (d. 1872). 3. Wilson Jones m. Rebecca McKissack (d. 1826). 4. Thomas McKissack m. Lucy Hudson. Thomas McKissack (1756-1826) served as private in Captain Ballard's company, Colonel Patton's North Carolina regiment, for which service he received a pension. He was born in North Carolina; died in Giles County, Tenn. (The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 128, page 256)

Henry William Lightfoot (1846-1901) m. 1874 Dora Bell Maxey (1856-84). 2. John Frazier Lightfoot (1805-52) m. 1833 Meleana McKissack (1812-64). 3. Archibald McKissack (1785-1868) m. 1806 Susan Harrison (1788-1855). 4. Thomas McKissack m. 1780 Lucy Hudson (1754-1825). Thomas McKissack (1756-1826) served as private in Captain Ballard's company, Colonel Patton's North Carolina regiment, for which service he received a pension. He was born in North Carolina; died in Giles County, Tenn. (The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 160, page 3)

Ewing (1843-1919) m. 1871 Harriet Perkins Jones (1856-88). 2. Thomas McKissack Jones (1816-92) m. 1st 1838 Marietta Perkins (1820-72). 3. Wilson Jones m. Rebecca McKissack. 4. Thomas McKissack m. Lucy Hudson. Thomas McKissack (1756-1826) served as private in Capt. Ballard's company, Colonel Patton's North Carolina regiment, for which service he received a pension.
