Looking for information about these family write-ups in Goody's. Louis H. FELKNOR was
reportedly some kind of Hamblen County Official like Treasurer. Can anyone confirm that
for me. I also have a copy of circa 1880's photograph of Alexander FELKNOR and his wife
Anna Chilton GOAN if anyone would like to see. They lived in Jefferson County. Any

I am searching for information on William Timothy Comer. Born May 11, 1851, died April

I am looking for any and all information relating to James Aden (Arden) BRADY. He was
known to live in Morristown,TN and is buried there. I have been unable to locate the name
of the cemetery. He was married to Molly Love BOLTON. This is all we know, except he may

Looking for any information about Cora/Clara Anthony WHEELER who married Henry David
THOMASON on 4 July 1886 in Hamblen County. They had a son, John Henry THOMASON in
Russellville in 1899 (and other children) and then must have moved to Johnson Co MO area

Have been searching for marriage information about Rev. William SAMPLE and Sarah Ellen
SILVERS. My only source of info to date has been 1880 US census of Hamblen Co and it was
about unreadable. I am researching the SILVERS family and need all the info I can find on
Sarah Ellen. Basic info gives his age about 43 yrs older than Sarah. Any and all info will
be appreciated. She is buried at Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cem. Thanks.

I am searching for information on my great grandmother, Catherine E. CUNNINGHAM (b. 21
Mar 1862 d. 18 Feb 1935) and ancestors of her parents and those of her husband.
Catherine's father was G. W. CUNNINGHAM (b. 1815 d. 22 Feb 1873) and her mother was Martha
M. HORNER (b. 4 Jan 1829 d. 11 Mar 1901). G. W. CUNNINGHAM and Martha M. HORNER were
married on 21 Jan 1849. Catherine E. CUNNINGHAM married William J. DODSON and had two
children Frances Josephine DODSON (b. 12 Mar 1882 d. 7 Jul 1959) and William T. DODSON (b.
1880 d. ca 1967). Martha remarried following the death of G. W. CUNNINGHAM. Her second
husband (Sterling REECE) convinced her to give-up the children; the children were
seperated and raised by relatives. While I have information on the decendents of Catherine
E. CUNNINGHAM, I have found no information on the ancestors of her parents, or those of

I'm seeking information on the Pharoah COBB place. It is supposed to be the burial
place for Pharoah COBB and William COBB.It may be at a place called Poor Valley Shoals.
William COBB and Pharoah COBB were buried in Hawkins County upon their deaths but were
reinterred to the Pharoah COBB place when the TVA built the Cherokee Dam.I would greatly
appreciate any information on this matter.

Looking for information on Robert CANTER who married Mary HARTMAN from Cranberry, NC.
They had several children, one of whom was Jessie Frank CANTER, born February 9, 1899 in
Morristown, TN. Am told that Robert Canter was in the Union Army during the Civil War.

married John L. WITT m. Christiana BACON at Hamblen Co, 1872. Two sons were born to this
marriage, Jesse WITT b. @1873, and Frank Andrew WITT b. @1879. Also, family members were
Albert and Mildred BACON who were alive in 1951 prob. middle age, Rufe (Rufus) and Nora
BACON were in @60-70 age range in 1951, and Nettie BACON who corresponded with my

ISO information about John Haskeill "Hack" Martin. Born in Morristown in
April of 1904 and disappeared without a trace around 1948-1950. He was the son of Charlie
& Mattie Martin and had 3 brothers ("Dude", "Sink", &
"Boy"(Charlie Jr.) and 2 sisters Arlie &Pearl ("Bill") Sister
Pearl prefers to be called "Bill" is still alive and living in Morristown area.

I need help finding Abel MORGAN. He married Belle MILLER on June 30, 1908 in Hamblen

I am searching for the COFFMAN homestead. I have read and have been told by descendents
of DAVID HARMON COFFMAN. That his homestead still stand but no one knows where it is
located. I was once told that it was located East of Russellville on Andrew Johnson Hwy. I

I am hoping to find the burial site (cemetery) of Daniel W. SEXTON, Private, Co C 4th
Tennessee Volunteer Infantry Regiment (USA). He died in service 10 Feb 1865 at Mosier's
Mill, near Morristown. His father Henry W., and uncle James A., were in the same company,
and also died in service; Henry at Nashville, and James at McMinnville. They were from

In April l83l, Nicholas Joseph LONG of Hawkins Co., Tn., made out a deed for l47 acres
of land. This deed was made out to Joseph LONG (l795-c.l867), also of Hawkins Co., Tn.
This land was located in Jefferson Co., Tn., now in Hamblen Co., Tn., located near the
town of Whitesburg. Just what was the relationship between Nicholas Joseph LONG and my
ancestor, Joseph LONG (l795-c.l867)? The Long family is buried in Bent Creek Church
cemetery.

I have been working on my family tree. I am 6th generation down from Thomas STROUD and
Elizabeth HURLEY. I am looking for information on names including GOLDEN, HAUN, SHIPLEY,

know Nancy LANE married James POE, but we can't get back further than James POE we could
