Looking for information on James M. STANFIELD born 1825. Lived in Hardin CO. at the time of the 1860 census. Married Charlotte JONES, born 1827-1828, around 1845. Children in 1860 were: William H. age 12, Hetty age 6, James W. age 4, John W. age 2, and Reuben, age 2 months. Acording to James M.'s death certificate his father's name was Henry. I have no other information other than that on his parents. I have not been able to find a Henry STANFIELD the right age, so I suspect Henry may have been his middle name. Any information anyone may have would be helpfull.

BOSWELL, WARREN: Researching Levi Warren who married Tillinda (Lillinda?) Boswell (daughter of Thomas Boswell and Mary Sims) ca. 1827 Henderson County, TN. Their son, Thomas Rice Warren was born November 24, 1827 in Henderson County. Levi vanishes from the record, and the only record of him seems to be the one in his son's family bible. Tillinda Boswell Warren married a second time to Nazareth Jones, but died after delivering their first child, who also died. Thomas Rice Warren was raised by his grandmother, Mary Sims Boswell.

Searching for grandfather. Have two suspects in Henry and Henderson Counties. Their names are (1)Robert Mitchell, age 16, on the 1880 Census. Son of James N. Mitchell in Henry Co. (2) Robert Mitchell, age 6, son of James Mitchell in Henderson Co. on Tn 1880 Census. I want to see if one of these Mitchells married an Orena (maybe last name Lowery) about 1887- 1890. and then migrated to Oklahoma Cherokee Strip about same time as marriage. In 1850 census, William McAlister (b. about 1807), his wife Dorcas Powers (b. about 1826), daughter Amanda (b. 1847), and son John William (b. 1849) were located in Sullivan County. 1840 census listed a William McAlister and a John McAlister in Henderson County. William McAlister had a younger brother named John McAlister (b. about 1814), and a number of women in the Powers families of Henderson County were named Dorcas or variations of that name. Of particular interest are any marriage records.

Researching James & Susan Johnson Hart. James born N.C.abt 1798; Susan born Va. abt 1803. We have only located them in Henderson Co. They are probably the James Hart family found on the 1840 census there. They were definitely on the 1850 census, along with some of their family. There may be other unknown children, but we know the following: James P. m Ursula Howard; Joseph H. Hart; Marcus Dudley Littleton Hart m (Kittie Ann Mann?); William Henry Harrison Hart (my line) m Emily Lane Miller; Henry Clay Hart m Martha B. Miller. Francis M. Ross (born about 1819 ins MS) and his wife Sarah (born about 1820 in NC) appear in the 1850 Henderson Co. census with their four children: James, 8, William, 4, Squire, 2 and Francis, 1. They are not in the 1860 census in TN and seem to disappear. Does anyone have any information on this family? Josiah Ross born 1854 in TN. By 1880 he was living in Houston Co.
