BAKER

I need help finding the father of Ezekiel Baker. Ezekiel, my ggg grandfather, was b.1805 in KY, d. 1897 on Indian Creek in Humphreys County. Ezekiel's father was born in NC, that much is given in census data, but little else is known. Ezekiel also had a sister named Sally who married a William Harding or Harder from Centerville. Ezekiel married Nancy Blackwell in 1832. They had 7 children. They were: John b. 1833, d. 1910 married Mary Ann Stewart/ Nancy b. 1835, d. 1917 Married Johnson Hall/ William H. b.1837 d. 1921 Married Pailine Fuqua/ Joseph b. 1839 d.1863 (killed in the Civil War)/ Elizabeth b. 1842 d. 1921, Never Married/ Parthenia b. 1850 d. 1923 Married Aaron James Stewart, Martha b. 1854 d. 1923 Married Daniel Calvin Stringer. This was a large family and they must have many descendants today. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it very much. I also have a lot of information on Bakers/Sparks/Manleys/Stringers and would be happy to share.

BAKER, LUNSFORD

I am searching for any information on my grandparents, John Thomas BAKER and Mary May LUNSFORD Baker. They are listed in the 1900 census for Humphreys county. He was born Aug 1866 and died about 1912. She was born Feb 1876 and died about 1920 in Arkansas. Mary was his 2nd wife. We don't know the first wife's name. My father Daniel May BAKER was born Apr 6, 1906, a brother Grady BAKER was born Mar 1898. A 1/2 sister, Early BAKER, was born7/2/1894. Another sister Bertha BAKER died at the age of 16 in a horse riding accident. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Tennessee will Book H pp187-188- mentions a settlement made with John THOMASON...a report made by John BATEMAN , guardian for M.E. and S.A. DOWELL, minor heirs of John M. BRUMLY, WILLS

I am looking for any information about James Helton BRUMLY (b. 2,SEPT,1863), who married Sarah Elizabeth C. WILLS abt. 1884. They are both found in the Humphreys County 1880 Census, although Brumly is spelled BROOMLY. Sarah is also in the 1870 Census in Humphreys County. Their daughter Annie (my grandmother) was allegedly born near Bold Spring and the homestead was near a large landmark balancing-rock called the Cap-rock. James and Sarah moved to Dyer County TN (1900 Census) and then to Pemiscot County, MO.

Researching my greatgrandmother and her "husbands" who all came from/are buried in Humphries County. She was Izetry or Izetra Timms Mullinicks...first she married R. M. Martin November 26, 1893..She had two daughters, Olivia and Sallie. Martin died and July 29, 1900 she married William Robert Daniel (My greatgrandfather..father of James Herman Daniel and Raymond Daniel)...and he died. She may have married someone named Hill..haven't found that information yet, and then she married Edney...no children from that one. Last address on Raymond was in Lexington TN when James Herman died in 1967...I obviously know about James, but have no information on his father, William Robert...and My Greatgrandmothers mothers maiden name was Timms...have no information on that name either...Can anyone help???

After about a year away, I've begun working again on my brick wall on these families; can anyone help? Leonard Rains RANEY was my children's grandfather. His father's name was James Samuel RANEY, b December 1875 who married in 1896 Lula Anne PARNELL b. October 1879. Their children were: Mavis b 1898, m. Ruel Fentress, Leonard Rains, b 1900, m. Hazel Cheffer and James Loyal b 1908). Lula Anne was the sister of Lorenzo "Wendy" PARNELL, wife, Patty, who lived in Denver, TN with his mother, Josephine Davis PARNELL. The information I have currently indicates that Richard was born in 1829 (NC or TN) and died in Humphreys County, TN. I am hoping someone on this list will have access to the FOWLER FAMILY BOOKS that I have heard about and be able to tell me if there is a listnig of a FOWLER family line that has the specific name of STERLING in it. INGRAM, THOMAS

Looking for cemetery in Humphreys Co. where Garland INGRAM, d. 7/1860 was buried. He and his wife Johanna lived with their daughter and son-in-law Talitha Isabel and David Price THOMAS between the Duck and Buffalo rivers. Both families were Primitive Baptists and David Price THOMAS was an elder in the church. Assuming that Garland was buried in a church cemetery. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on the James Norman family. Married Jane E. Norman, 18 March 1867. They were in civil Dist. No. 5. Their post office was in Waverly, Tn. Their children were William D. REEVES

We are looking for any information that we can on George Washington REEVES, born Hickman County, Tennessee around 1828 and married a Nancy ?. They had the following children, William-b.1848, Margaret-b.1851, Issac-b.1855, Francis Anne-b.1857, Elizabeth-b.1859, Amanda-b.1862, and Alice-b.1866. From the Census records we find all the children were born in Humphreys County, Tennessee except William. George Washington REEVES later marries a Mary TURNER QUILLING in 1885 in Waverly, Tennessee. We do not know what happened to Nancy. Four more children were born in Humphreys County, Tennessee - Daisy, Alfred Albert-b.1886, Squire Elbert-b. 1889 and James Andrew McCleveland-b.1890. JASPER M. SPRINGER

Jasper M. Springer was born in June 1874, prob. in Dickson Co, Tenn. the son of Josiah T. Springer and Martha F. Rushing. Jasper Springer married abt. 1898 a Margaret ______. (What was her surname?) I did not find the marriage in the Dickson Co. records. Jasper Springer is in the 1900 Dickson Co. census, but in 1910 and 1920 he is in Humphreys Co. Did he die in Humphreys Co.? He is living in a boarding house in the 1920 census. Where is wife Margaret and their children: Oscar, Bessie, Sam, Oly, Charles and Mattie Springer??

STORY

I am searching for anything from my grandfather's (Homer Lee STORY) family of Humphreys Co. His mother's name was Sarah, father's name Grover. I know he had two sisters and no brothers. I believe the sisters names were Cecil and Liddie(sp?). I have also been told that Cecil died in 1947 and that the mother and father (Sarah and Grover) died sometime during the flu epidemic.
