The earliest census I have is of Lawrence County, 1850. William
Liles has living at home at this time Ephreim Liles, John B. Liles,
Ruthena J. Liles and Martha Liles. He is married to Elizabeth
Hamilton, born in South Carolina and he reports he was born in North
Carolina. I would like any additional information from prior census,
death records, marriage records, etc. I am related to William Liles
through Ephreim Liles. Ephreim later moved to Pegram Station in
Cheatham County, TN. I currently live in Kingston Springs and
started the K.S. Historical Association.

My gr-grandfather, Andrew Carroll TAYLOR, was born in Lawrence County
Tenn in January 1845, as were his two older brothers, David (1839-41)
and Harper(1843). Listed on the 1860 Pope County Arkansas census, it
records a Charity TAYLOR as head of the household. Looking for the
names of Andrew's parents. Charity could be his mother or
step-mother. Some relatives believe that she was a step-mother and
that his real mother was _____ GORDON (a sister to Green GORDON). If
Charity is his mom, then what was her maiden name? At present,
cannot locate a 1850 census showing this family. Looking for
documentation (marriage record) to show a _?__ TAYLOR marrying _?_

Am looking for information on SAMUEL STANFORD b 1800 in NC. 1840
census they were in Giles Co. Samuel age 30/40 one female age
30/40(wife/mother?)2-females 5/10; 2-females 10/15. The mother may
have died between 1840 and 1850, she wasn't on the 1850 census in
Lawrence Co with Samuel age 50; Celia 20; Jane 19; Elizabeth 18 &
Mary age 16. In 1850 Celia bought 9 acres that joined 279 acres she
already owned. 1851 Elizabeth m. Nathaniel Mills (did they have
children?) 1852 Celia had a son Harv A.;1854 she sold land to Samuel
Stanford; in 1856 she was back in Lawrence Co, as a resident of
Tishomingo Co. Ms. to give Power of Attorney to Robert B. Williams to
sell land in Lawrence Co for her. Did she sell her property to her
father Dec 1854 and moved to Tishomingo Co. Then Samuel died between
Dec 1854 and Feb 1856, and she inherited his property. Would like to
confirm this and any info about Mrs.Samuel, his parents, and
siblings. Have connected all the sisters except Jane in Tishomingo

I know that there were DUCKWORTHS in Lawrence County in the early
1800's. JOHN DUCKWORTH is in the 1820 census for Lawrence Co. and in
the 1830 census for Wayne Co. I'm trying to find if he had a
daughter named SUSAN ELIZABETH who married JOHN (JACKIE) CHURCHWELL
in Maury County in 1817. SUSAN was born April 3, 1799 (birthplace
unknown) and died in Wayne Co. Sept. 12,1882.

I am searching for information regarding James M. KELLY who was in
Leoma, county of Lawrence in the 1950s'. He resided with a Sally
Freeman sometime during this time and spent time in Thayer Veterans
Hospital in Nashville in 1960 and possibly was in thsis hospital
before and after this time. During this time a son-1955 and
daughter-1956 were born. Mothers name was Ruth. Mail address was
R.R. 2 Leoma. I am the son. My sister, unbenknownst to me)
initiated this search when we were reunited 5 years ago and we have
decided to start this search in spite of our mother. She will reveal
nothing and thus we are on our own.

Giles County, Tennessee, the same couple is buried as: John PILLOW
(born Rockingham Co., NC, born 25 March 1781; died 20 July 1854; 73
years, 3 mos, 20 days) and his wife, Mary PILLOW, wife of J. PILLOW
(she: born Stokes Co., NC, died 02 Oct 1850; age 65 years). Are there

Am looking for information regarding James Manuel KELLY who was in
LEOMA during mid 1950s'. Records gathered list address as Route 2.
Need this information as he is biological father to two children.

I need information on WILLIAM COTTRELL. He lived in Lawrence County
in l820. He had a son named Thomas Cottrell born in l8l7. I need to know
any other members of William's family. Thomas married a Mary Ann
Shelton on Dec. 27, l838 in Lauderdale County and his family lived in
Lawrence County from l840, l850, l860 per census records. Something
happened to Thomas between l860 and l870, his wife and children are
listed on the l870 census for Lawrence but not Thomas. It seems that
the Cottrell's lived in a community named Appleton. I will share any
information I have with anyone who thinks we might be related.

great-grandmother, George H. HAAS,and Anna Marie (DASCHLER)HAAS,from

Lucinda I. DANIEL(Born 1837), James M. DANIEL(Born 1840), Phillip W.
DANIEL(Born 1841), William M. DANIEL(Born 1843), and Mary E.
DANIEL(Born 1845). On Dec. 25, 1850 Ava Caroline DANIEL and Stephen
MORROW(Born 1830) were married in Lawrence County, Tennessee. Who was
Stephen's father and mother? Did he have any brothers and sisters?
Stephen and Caroline had the following children: Elizabeth Ann
MORROW(Born 1855), William MORROW(Born 1857), Emmaline MORROW(Born
1859), Martha Adalaide MORROW(Born 1862), and John Franklin
MORROW(Born 1864). Elizabeth Ann was born in Tennessee then the
family moved to Iron county, Missouri and the other children were
born there. Stephen MORROW was shot by confederate soldiers during
the civil war when John Franklin was just a baby. If anyone knows of
either of these families I sure would appreciate some help in finding

killed abt 1844/45. She married CURTIS (1844/45) Need info on

Family lived in Lawrence Co.--James GILBERT born 7 Jan. 1836 (my
great, great grandfather) Would like to know if he served in
military.He had 5 brothers--John l827; Charles 1829; Webster 1832;

Looking for GOODMAN/ MATLOCK and MCCLURE surnames 1800 to 1900's.
My people were much like others. Farmers and Farm laborers. They
traveled through Northern Ala and Middle Tn counties looking for work
to feed and house their family.
MCCLURE, Robert Polk b. June 1942 in PA. found in Lawrence Co. TN
1865. found Maury Co TN. 1900. died in Lauderdale Co AL. about 1916
no records on him.<> Polk is my dead end.
MATLOCK, Littleberry Franklin b. AL 1863 was living in Tn during
1900>1910 Farm Laborer.

I have an ENOCH JOHN BASS born or migrated through North
