MONTGOMERY - Peter H. Montgomery reportedly born July 7, 1834 in Lawrence
County, Tennessee. Peter married Catharine McBee
in Polk County, Missouri. Peter & Catherine later moved to Newton
County, Missouri.
I recently found a William Montgomery who lived less than a mile from the
McBee family in Polk County, MO. This appears to
be the William Montgomery who married a Susannah Cook, Sep 26, 1839 in
Lawrence County, Tenn by Jacob Lacforx, J.P.
William may have been Peter's brother. I am looking for the Parents of
Peter. I am looking into the possibility that Peter's father might have
been Thomas Montgomery who
reportedly died in 1840 with a will in Will Book 1, 229, Lawrence County
