• Phillip and Brandy Eddlemon are the parent of a son, Asher Jeren Eddlemon.  He was born January 11, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.  Grandparents are Ruth and the late Jeff Wright, Faye McClearen Borodychuk, and James Eddlemon.

• Aiden James O'Brien was born September 25, 2007 to Heather Lynn O'Brien.  Grandparents are David and Lynda Nuxoll and Roger O'Brien. 

• Michael and Lisa Harlow announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their son, Steven Harlow to Lisa Marie Dry, daughter of Larry and Twila Dry, .  A beach side wedding will be May 17, 2008 at Seaside, FL.

• James and Sheila Stima and Jerry and Marlene Sims announce the engagement of forthcoming wedding their daughter, Alicia Sims to Gary Reeves, son of the late Leon and Shirley Reeves.  The wedding will be on May 3m 2008 at the Gordonsburg Church of Christ at three o'clock in the afternoon.  After a honeymoon in Gulf Shores, AL, the couple plans to reside in Hohenwald.

• Kynzi James announces the birth of her twin brother and sister,  Nathan Owen and Peyton Larie James, born on April 1, 2008.  Their parents are Randy and Kerri James.  Grandparents are Ronnie and Bertha James, and Mark and Debbie Melton.  Great-grandparents are Bettye James and Loyd Melton.

• Talon Scott Hinson was born March 22, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital to Tim and Brittany Hinson.  Grandparents are Richard and Teressa Hinson and Dona and  Kelley Johnson.

• Jessie Cheyenne Kinzie was born April 8, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital to Lawrence and Amanda Kinzie.  Grandparents are Daryl and Sherry Hold, Leon and Jane Kinzie, Dawn and Ed Murray, and the late Doug Raleigh.

• Kierston Michelle Trull was born January 30, 2008 to Chris Trull and Mickey Cagle.  Kierston's big brother is Maddox Cagel and big sister is Taylor Trull.  Grandparents are Danny and Alice Cagel, Sheila and Timmy Denton and Steve and Christina Trull.

• Dr. Ken Berry, formerly of Hohenwald, was named Best Physician in the Benton Countian newspaper's Reader's Choice Awards.  Berry is a 1987 graduate of Lewis County High School and he later graduated cum laude in radiology for Columbia State Community College before becoming a medical doctor.

• Joshua McClain and Nicole Zibble announce the birth of their daughter, Emily Paige McClain, born May 31, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.  Emily is the granddaughter of Diane and Jim McClain, Marie and Michael Betts, and Darrell and Deb Zibble.  She is the great-granddaughter of Patrisha and Nick McClain, Helen Talbert, Regina and Raymond Betts, and Emily and Donald Lebrenz.  She was released from the hospital on June 3, 2008.

• Teddy Wayne and Chelsea Carroll announce the birth of their daughter, Cherish Jewel "C. J."  Carroll, born May 28, 2008.  Grandparents are Tootie & Dianne Tatum and Ted and Cricket Carroll.    C. J. was welcomed home by her siblings, Clayton Carroll and , from heaven, Clyde Carroll.

• The former Mrs. Lois Hensley was married to Johnny Huff of Leoma on Memorial Day, May 26, 2008 in a morning ceremony.  The bride's son, Ernest, Jr.,  gave her away.  There was dancing in the afternoon with relatives and friends at a family-oriented club in Bon Aqua.  The newlyweds will reside in Hohenwald.

• Jamie Brassfield and Angel Watts were united as one on June 7, 2008.  Angel is the daughter of Michelle and James Watts.  Angel joins the Brassfield family with her two son, C, J, and John.  Jamie is the son of Kathy and James Brassfield.

• Andrew Earl and Joan Groce Hinson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner, hosted by their children and grandchildren in Brentwood June 29, 2008.  Earl and Joan were married June 30, 1958 in Fayetteville.  They are retired and live in Park City.

• Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walter Finerty, Sr celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on July 15, 2008 with their family and friends.  They have 6 children, 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

• William K and and Carroll Ann Sandy announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Brandie Teresa May Garrett to Dustin Marshall Ruddle.  The couple plan to exchange vows in a beach-side ceremony this summer.

• On July 19, 2008, Miss Loy Finerty celebrated her 84th birthday at her home.  Friends and family visited with her for the special occasion.  Watermelon was a treat for the event.  Miss Loy said, "It was the best birthday ever."

• Corbin Dee Hortin was born May 29, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.  Corbin was welcomed into the world by his parents, Cameron and Jennifer, brother, Aden, grandparents, Cathi Layson, and Chris and Tanajalyn Hortin, great-grandparents, Faye and Wesley Morton and Renae and Art Hortin.  He was also welcomed home by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

• River Christian Carroll was born July 15, 2008 at River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN.  River is the son of Stephanie Carroll.  Grandparents are Dale and Tonia Carroll and Rodger and Kim Ray.  Great-grandparents are Billy and Shirley Carroll, Betty Hensley Lee, the late Sammy Hensley, Kathy Fisher and Gene Raymer.  Great-great-grandparents are Marie Crowell and Verline Raymer.

• Howard Pruitt and Joanne Hinson Hyatt were honored with a 60th wedding anniversary celebration at their home on July 5, 2008.  The event was hosted by their three children, Debbie Qualls, Steve Hyatt and Pat Campbell.  Mr. and Mrs. Hyatt were married on July 9, 1948 at he home of the bride's sister and brother-in-law, Elise and Doug Humphreys on Swan Avenue.

• Joel Gray and Robin Anderson exchanged marriage vows at Summertown Baptist Church in Summertown on Saturday, August 9, 2008.  Robin is the daughter of Eldon and Dorothy Anderson;  she is the granddaughter of Larene and the late Clarence Anderson, and the lat Clinton and Mary Swain.  Joel is the son of Bobby Gray and Angie Tankersley.  He is the grandson of Helen and the late Norm Harden, Shirley Clark and the late James Gray.  The couple will reside in Summertown. 

• Kenny Johns and Koria Rhinehart were married on August 1, 2008.  A pool side wedding was held at their home.  The couple were given in marriage by their children, Mason and Dannye Rhinehart and Oakely Johns.  Koria is the daughter of the late Brenda G Bunch.  Kenny is the son of Marlene Johns and the late Donnie Johns.  After a short honeymoon, the couple will reside in Hohenwald.

• The Lewis County High School Class of 1978 celebrated their 30th class reunion on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course with a cookout of hamburgers and hot dogs by Charles Dye, chef.  Fifty-one classmates were in attendance.
