Looking for GOODMAN/ MATLOCK and MCCLURE surnames 1800 to 1900's. My people were much like others. Farmers and Farm laborers. They traveled through Northern Ala and Middle Tn counties looking for work to feed and house their family. MCCLURE, Robert Polk b. June 1942 in PA. found in Lawrence Co. TN 1865. found Maury Co T N. 1900. died in Lauderdale Co AL. about 1916 no records on him.<> Polk is my dead end. MATLOCK, Littleberry Franklin b. BEATTY

I am looking for information on the father of Ephraim Turner Beatty, born. Feb. 18, 1854, in Maury Co., TN and died Aug. 3, 1938, in Monette,Mo. His father was John Beatty, born 1816? he married Elizabeth Pinkerton, Feb. 5, 1838 in Williamson, Co., TN. E lizabeth was born 1822? I am in need of more information on the above individuals. Ephraim had a child by Carrie McCaul, John Alexander Beatty, b. 4/5/1878 and d. 4/17/1955, he lived in Monette, Mo. Searching for information on parents of Sarah Elizabeth Jane HENSLEY. She was born in Lewis Co. TN in 1871. She had 2 brothers, Benjiman F. and Nathan B. HENSLEY. DUGAN

I am looking for information on a Charles Dugan born around 1920 in Lewis Co. His father was Elvis Glenn Dugan. I don't know if Charles parents divorced or if his mother died, but Elvis remarried a Lillian Stringer and moved to either Ohio or Maryland. H is other child was born in Maryland and Elvis died in Vienna, Ohio. I don't know Elvis's first wife's name (Charles's mother). Any imformation would be greatfully appreciated.

LOVE, NEILL

Looking for information on Wilson D. LOVE (age 25) who appears on Lewis Co., 1850 census. Census shows wife Elizabeth (age 24), son Henry L. (age 5), son William J. (age 4), Daught. Matilda C. (age 1). Believe wife Elizabeth may have been Elizabeth C. Ne ill, born Burke Co., NC but have no marriage record. Her family lived in Polk Co., TN at the time but came from Burke Co., NC. We have her death recorded in our family bible as 05-13-1854 and she is recorded as "E. C. Love". Do not know husband's name or children. LAY

SILAS LAY married to ELIZABETH SMITH or BROWN. They had one son WILLIAM ROBERT LAY born abt. 1855 in TENESSEE. Silas died when the son was under 5 years old his mother remarried than she died. The step father remarried and the step parents treated Willian Robert very bad. They sent him to live with the slaves in the slave quarters and gave him chores as if he was a slave. When he was still very young he was caught making knives with the slaves and sent to prison, on the way there he escaped and went to Mississippi and worked on the River Boats, later he went to Texas and joined the Texas Rangers than in 1880 he show ed up in Utah and married Emily Kenner. They had 10 children. Any information about Silas and Elizabeth would be very much appreicated.
