on 25W north in Cambell County. We know nothing about his
background. Rumors have it that he got off a train out of ky. in or

Can anyone tell me if there is a cemetery called Trace Creek Cemetery
in Lewis county and if so, where it is? Looking for the burial place
of Tabitha Selph Rawdon who died in 1900.
Also looking for any Selphs or Selfs on any census in Lewis county
since 1860.

Nancy Ann TIDWELL-1st married PEAVYHOUSE-2nd married FLOYD (my 5
greatgrandmother) born 17 Sept. 1839 Tn died 8 Aug 1917 Lewis Co.

This is a request for info on James Daniel MURPHREE. Born in
Hickman
co. in 1846 and died 1893. He was a veteran of some sort, but
I don't
know of what. His grave and that of his son Stephen is situated
on
our property in Lewis county Tennessee.

(1854-1928) & wife
Sarah Ellen (Sallie) GRIMES DEEN (1857-1927). They
married 1874 in
Lewis County. James was the son of James B. DEEN & Louisa D. WESTBROOK
and Sallie the daughter of Levi Carroll GRIMES & Margaret Elenora (Nelly)
RICKETTS GRIMES. James & Sallie are buried
in Palestine Cem. Children
included: Louisa Ellen Victoria DEAN
(1881-1965), James C. Marion DEAN
(1886-1908) bur. Palestine Cem.,
Edward Davis DEAN (1888-1914) bur.
Palestine Cem., Robert E. Lee DEAN
(1884-1907) bur. Lankford Cem. "killed
by his brother Marion", Annie
M. DEAN (1890-?). According to her death

Shirley!),Sallie was blind for 36 years at the time of her
death, and
was survived by 2 daughters:Mrs. CLAY & Mrs. Lee HARRIS.
Which
daughter is which? Were there other children? Is anyone else
researching the lines of Levi & Nelly GRIMES and James B. & Louisa D.
DEEN? Both couples are my great(x3) grandparents and I am very
willing

son of James Peery and Rhoda Compton of Hickman Co.

Ira D. White, d. 1908 Lawrence County, had a daughter named Melissa
White, who married T. C. Frazier in 1873. Might have moved to Lewis
County. Anybody have any info on this family? Have lots to share on

Wm.G. Griner/Grinder was supposedly married in Lewis County prior to
1830. He was born ca 1804 and the son of Robert Evans Griner/Grinder
Sr. and Priscilla Knight. The name of the wife is unknown. It is the
name of this first wife and child or children I am searching for. If
anyone has information I have a good deal on Wm.G. after he left
Tennessee and went to Texas I would share with interested parties. I

In May, I will visit Lewis County, and I would like to get any
information possible on James SHARP (1799-about 1860), who married
Eliza Mayfield, and his father, John SHARP (who married Margaret
Mayfield. They were listed as the earlies settlers of Lewis County. I
am trying to find information on where there lived, and where they
may be buried.

My greatgrandfather named Risdon Baxter Bridges, daughter-Nancy
Rebecca Bridges born April, 1905 in Lewis county. She was born in
Allen Creek town or city, or road?I can't find that city, I have the
certificate of birth.
I am also trying to find relatives to the Bridges name.My grandmother
said the name was changed from "Bridger". I do not know if this is
true. Any help out there?

Searching for Emma Whitfield who married Charlie Moore. Had two
Children, Cynthia Jane Moore (circa 1890)and a son Allen Jackson
Moore (born March 20, 1896) in Tennessee.Charlie Moore died at the
age of 45 and Emma Whitfield Moore died at the age of 39. Children
were young and went to live with relatives. Cynthia Jane Moore was
living in Lynchburg West Va. in 1917.

I am looking for the parents of MARCUS LAFAYETTE DALTON. He was born
October 14, 1819 in Tennessee and died November 8, 1870 in Palo Pinto
County, Texas. He married LUCINDA GAMBILL. She was born June 6, 1819
in Logan County, Kentucky and died February 8, 1900 in Palo Pinto
County, Texas. Her parents are WILLIAM GAMBILL and SARAH WARD. MARCUS
LAFAYETTE DALTON and LUCINDA GAMBILL had the following children:
WILLIAM CLEO DALTON, GEORGE DALTON, JOHN DALTON, CHARLIE A. DALTON,
ROBERT S. DALTON who married MILLIE SLAUGHTER, GEORGE LEE DALTON who
married LUVINA PARALEE TENNISON. SARAH DALTON who married A. L.
Denson, MARY DALTON who married a HERRIN and JENNIE DALTON who
married a VOLENTINE. These DALTON'S are buried at either Lu-Queen
Cemetery or the Greenwood Cemetery in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
I have other names that are in this family of DALTON'S, can anyone

Does anyone have any info on James "Jim" Creamer (1862-1951). He was
first married to Susan Louise Lynn, who died in 1902(?) and later
married Altha ? (1882-1955). One of Jim and Altha's daughters, Myrtle
first married Frank? Goodman, and later married James Hensley. Not
sure about her birth or death dates. Some or all of Jim and Altha's
children were Lena M., Josephine, George and Myrtle.
If anyone has any info about Jim and Altha's parents, children, etc.
could you please let me know? I can't find anything else about them
besides this.

of Lewis Co. with 7 children. Valentine J. Bell and Mary Hall his
wife are listed in the 1850 Lewis Co. census with with 5 children. I
