| Macon
County is located in Northern Middle Tennessee, formed in 1842 from
parts of Smith, Sumner Counties in Middle Tennessee. Summer County
makes up the western boundary while Smith makes up the southern.
To the east is Clay County and Jackson is found in the southeast.
Southwest of Macon is Trousdale. The counties of Allen and Monroe
in the great state of Kentucky make up the northern border.
