As a decendent of Silas Helton thru Samuel Helton, thru Carl Helton, Sr., thru Alvin Helton, Sr. for most part you have the Silas Helton Genealogy correct. However, his first wife was Celina Frances. Marion Helton was married twice, first wife was Tennessee Johnson, married 1-25-1885, his second wife was Katie Tapp whom he married 12-24-1898. The children were Augustus born May 1887, Samuel, named after my ggrandfather, born April 1895, by Tennesse Johnson. Infant daughter, Nancy born May 1900, according to the 1900 cencus records. I have a marriage of Nancy to a William Shipley, March 19, 1932. As for this being the same daugher or not, who knows. I do not know the birth dates of James or Elijah. Nor do I know what happened to this branch of our family. The last we had any record or report of them, they lived in a place called Sale Creek, TN. If you know

SULLIVAN, SMOTHERS, WIX

I am researching the SULLIVAN brothers Joseph b 1771, Owen b 1772, Daniel b 1773, and Isaac b 1781 who moved from Orange Co., NC, about 1795-1800 and settled in Tennesse in what was then western Smith Co. and eastern Sumner Co. --- now Macon Co., near/along Goose Creek. The location and timing of their arrival is roughly the same as my SMOTHERS ancestors. I believe I am also a descendant of one of these SULLIVAN brothers (probably Owen through his son Isaac). My gg grandmother, Martha E. Sullivan SMOTHERS b 1832 TN, seems to have had two sisters, Mary Jane SULLIVAN b 1825 TN and Margaret Ann SULLIVAN b 1835 TN who both married WIX and were living in Macon Co., TN, in early 1900.
