I have recently found
several old photos, some of them tintypes taken around the 1875-1900 time
period. They came from the home of my GGgrandmother, Clarence Gregory Porter,
and lived in Pleasant Shade. Her father was Elias Enoch (Tint) Gregory from
Macon County. He was s/o John G. and Louisa Willis Gregory. John is s/o Ambrose,
who is son of Bry. Elias' siblings are Thomas Idle, Wiley Clemons, Julia, and
Ukley Gregory. Clarence's mother was Tabitha Parker, d/o Jesse and Celina
Patterson Parker from Parker Branch, Cato. Some of these photos are of the
Parker family: Thomas, John, Nancy, Mike, Caroline, Jake, Jesse Abe, Celina,
Bob, Pole, and Sam. Many of these are unmarked but the box states "these
are family members of Clarence Gregory Porter", which would be the Gregorys
and Parkers. I am trying to locate anyone out there who might be a descendant of
any of the above families and can help me identify some of these photos. They
are scanned and can be emailed to anyone interested. Beth Sloan Wilburn, Cincinnati, Ohio bwilburn@fuse.net
