Mrs. Sarah Ann Shrum Dies at Daughter’s
Mrs. Sarah Ann Hall Shrum, aged 70 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dave Gammon, in the Pisgah section of the county on Monday of this week. She had been in failing health for some time. She was the widow of J.W. Shrum, who died some years ago. She is survived by two sons, Elmer Shrum, of Eulia; and Earl D. Shrum, of Madison; two daughters, Mrs. Gammon, and Mrs. Jolly White, of New Zion; one brother, J.W. Hall, of Westmoreland; and a sister, Mrs. Halum Wix, of Gallatin. Seven grandchildren also survive.
The remains were laid to rest on Tuesday in the Eulia Cemetery, following funeral services in charge of Elder F.W. Lambert.
At an early age she became a member of Eulia General Baptist church, and remained a devoted member until her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Hall, both of whom have been dead for some time.
