Found Treasure

submitted by Becky Cothron

The following pictures were located in the walls of the house formerly occupied by Paul Pardue Cothron (20 May 1910 -- 28 Aug 1988 buried Pisgah Cemetery) who was the son of Thomas L. Cothron (b. 03 Oct 1874 d. 02 Jul 1943) and his 2nd wife Johnnie Pardue (b. 05 Aug 1873 d. 17 Nov 1950). Thomas L. and Johnnie E. Pardue Cothron are buried in the Pisgah Cemetery located on old Highway 52W in Macon County, TN.  It wasn't until after Paul passed away that the house was sold and remodeling was underway when these pictures were located in 1991.  Because Becky's husband, Fred, son of Carl Ray Cothron, grandson of Elisha Clay Cothron (08 Jun 1898 -- 02 Jun 1987, Eulia Cemetery) and gr. grandson of Thomas L. Cothron, is a direct descendant and is also living on the Cothron farm, the pictures were given to him.  It is not known if Thomas L. Cothron built the house or purchased it from someone else.

If anyone has any idea who these people are please contact Becky or Macon TNGenWeb.  Please refer to the number below each picture when making identification.  Thank-You.
