William Christopherwas born in Tennessee (probably in the 1770s or 80s) and apparentlydied before 1830 as his wife, Rachel, is shown in the 1830 MarionCounty census as head of household. There are five males in thehousehold in that census. Two of the younger males were WilliamChristopher Columbus Adams (b. 1823 in Marion County) and DavidMarcus Adams (b. 1825 in Marion County). The 1830 census indicatesthat Rachel was born sometime in the 1880s. Rachel had at least twobrothers, Harvey B. NICHOLS (b. Abt. 1814) and Jesse NICHOLS (b. Abt.1819).
