According to family tradition, Richard LEE married Emily FAY abt. 1856 in
Columbia, Maury Co., TN. Their son, Ewell Robert LEE (b. 4 Aug 1857,
Columbia, TN) married Martha Jane Brown in 1881 in Yell Co., AR. Ewell
was my husband's gr-grandfather. Would like to hear from others

It is known that both John and Esther Renfro died in Barren Co, Ky.
Here is where I get lost:
My gg grandfather's name was John Renfro. He was born in SC in about
1817> I need th names of his parents and siblings. I believe he had at
least one sister who marrid a man named Flowers.
John Renfro married Lydia Ann Hicks in about 1834.Lydia was born 9 nov
1812 in Georgia (parents Thomas Hicks and Elizabeth T. Barnes) John and
Lydia lived in Ga. for a time and their first four children were born
there.Then they moved to Leake County Miss.
Can anyone help? I will gladly share any information I have.

in 1830 with family. His wife is MAry Jane AGNEW.
They are both born in N.C.abt 1800. Is JOHN ASKEW, listed in 1830 Census
his brother? Is the GEORGE ASKEW, their Father.
I'm also interested in MARY JANE parents. There is a JOSEPH
AGNEW living close to WILLIAM & MARY JANE. Is this her father and
mother? Would also be interested where WM and MAry J. were
married. I have lot of information I would be happy to exchange.

I am doing research on the following families who lived in Columbia
Tennessee
in the 1800's: Asa and Sarah Hodge, John Shelton and Elizabeth Shelton
Colin Shelton, Mary Pickett, Sarah Moore, Nancy Becton, John Becton,
Asa Hodge owned a general store with his brothers William and James.
Asa Hodge's children were James, Mary, Martha, and Amanda.
Would love to hear from anyone researching these families.

I am seeking information about Easter JOHNSTON who was born about 1804
Maury County Marriages Book #110 John HENSLEY to Easter JOHNSTON, William
Sharpe Justice of the Peace, license issued 19 Jan 1829.
John G HENSLEY and His wife Easter were found in the 1850 and 1860
Cencus.
In 1860 According to the cencus John was 54 and Easter was 56. They had 6
children living at home during this time;

2 Martha A. 19
3 Mary C. 12
4 David Booker 11
5 Elizabeth E. 26
6 Gabriel P. 21
This information was found in the 1860 Cencus LE 39-521
and 1850 Cencus LE 63-786.

28 Jan 1800 Greene Co TN Elizabeth WEBB b.1783 Greene Co TN d.ca
1865 AR. They may have lived in Shelby Co KY 1800-1810. I found
them in Giles Co TN 1813-1819; they were also in Maury & Wayne
Cos TN and Monroe Co MS, Yalobusha Co MS, Coahoma Co MS and finally
Phill8ips Co AR. I have info on many descendants.

Have recently learned that my TN Grandfather James Monroe Maddin (yes -
grandfather) served in the Civil War!! Is there an organization for
Civil War descendents?
Are there any other living grandchildren of Civil War Veterans like
myself, my brother, and sister? Am trying to find confirmation of when
he married our Grandmother, Mary Alice PAUL. Know this occurred sometime
around 1892- 94 in or near Columbia, TN. Would appreciate any info.

LESTER FAMILY in Maury/Wilson Counties.Connected Names are
WEST,FARRELL,NOLEN,HERLINES,VER DORN. Evan J.Lester and family Sarh
(West) are in Maury County,TN 1850,1860 Census,1870 he is gone and Sarah
is in home alone with children :Asa,William,Sarah,Mary,Napoleon
B.,Charles,Zachary. One of the sons (Napoleon B.)ended up in 1880 Census
Wilson County,TN.My ancestor William Haskell Lester married Mary Ann
Farrell and was in 1900 Nashville,TN. Wahat happened to Mother SARAH WEST
LESTER? WHO were her parents? WHO were the parents of Evan J.(Joseph?)
LESTER? Did he die in the civil war? I cannot find any records on him.
Only two references in Maury County suggest a "____Lester died in
the Home Guard."I have done extensive work on the LESTER family in
Wilson County and can find no connection. Ellen Lester married James
Nolen and stayed in Maury County.I would like to correspond with anyone
working on these lines.Where are Sarah Nolen and family buried?

LITTLE/LYTLE/LYTAL
There was a JOHN LITTLE in the 1830 Maury Co census. The
information seemed to match our John Lytle who moved to MS by
1840. Does anyone know if the John Little in the 1830 census
stayed in Maury Co? Are there any descendants of this John
Little still around there? Or anywhere? Would appreciate very
much any information!

Southport Digs (the newsletter of the Southport Chronic Cavers) we are

explore, photograph, research the history of and survey all the caves we
