John Marshall Morton, (ca. 1845 - 1905) minister at Kettle Church
near Kettle Mills, Maury County, TN. Married E.A. (thought to be
Emma Amelia) Crowell (12/3/1851 - 7/31/1890). E.A. is daughter of
Samuel (born ca. 1823) and M.A. Crowell, and thought to be sister
of Permelia Crowell Whiteside. Permelia's tombstone says
"Daughter of S & S.O. Crowell" but Permelia and E.A. are
buried
very near each other and 1860 census indicates Samuel had daughters
with initials P.J. and E.A. Family history says E.A. died
from blood poisoning following fall from runaway buggy and
fractured leg. Husband John Marshall Morton moved with children
