Need information on the parents of John Anderson THOMPSON, b. 1 Jul 1781
in Darlington Co., SC. In Darlington Co., SC, Married 18 Nov 1798 to
Elizabeth "Betsy" EDMONDS, the daughter of Samuel EDMONDS (mother
unknown).Samuel EDMONDS died ca 1799 in Darlington Co., SC. John and
Elizabeth THOMPSON must have moved moved immediately after the 1800
Darlington CO.,SC Federal Census to Tennessee. He was in Maury Co., TN,
when it was formed as at least one of his children were born in that
area in 1802/3. They lived in the area until about 1840.
McCOY; BERRY; WHITE I am looking for parents names for Jane BERRY who
married James McCOY in Maury Co., TN in 1823. I believe they lived in
Illinois in 1840. Also, I am trying to determine if they are the parents
of a daughter, Emily, who married a John H. WHITE in Illinois. Any

She married Benjamin Cooper Anderson in Aug. 1905.

Josiah (Joseph) Cheatham married Maggie J. Stockard on 02 Sep 1873 in Maury
Co., TN. Maggie died in June 1914 in Marshall Co., TN and is buired in
South Berlin Community of Marshall Co. Josiah (Joseph)'s second marriage
was to Josephine "Josie" Stockard. I have no marriage date. Josephine and
Josiah died in Hale Co., TX in 1936 and 1926 respectively. I have been told
but can not confirm that Maggie and Josephine were sisters. Looking for

I am searching for prior ancestors of William Harrison Peyton
B-10/131822-Maury Co. TN. M-Emily Mae Alley, B-8/24/1833 Yazoo Co. MS.
D-7//21/1886. Her parents were Job W. Alley and Jane Brownjohn Daniels. I
have been told the Peytons came from VA to KY into TN and then to MS. I
cannot prove this because I can't get passed William Harrison Peyton.

I am assisting a friend, Martha Young, with her
genealogy.
She needs proof that Mary Anna Revier/Reveer was the daughter of James
Revier/Reveer. Mary Anna was born ca 1811 in Virginia.
James Revier was born 22 Feb 1778 in Lancaster Co. VA. He married Nancy Ann
Alderson on 3 Jan 1806 in Richmond Co. VA.
Nancy Ann Alderson was born 21 Jan 1790 in Richmond Co. VA. Apparently
they all died in Maury County, Tennessee. Any help most appreciated.

grandfather was Andrew Jackson MAYFIELD, a son of theirs. His obituary
(written by his son) states that he was born 02-09-1811 in Maury County,
Tennessee to James and Nancy Mayfield. Andrew was married 04-14-1833 to
Missouri Dicie ROBERTS in Tennessee, and in 1834 moved to Illinois. Any

Needing information on RYMAN and BOSWORTH families in Maury County.
Milton F. RYMAN and wife Ella or Ellen (nee BOSWORTH) had two sons, Louis
and Robert. Robert RYMAN was born in Maury County in 1883. Father Milton
may have died in Maury County between 1883-1886. His wife's family may
have had relatives living in Maury. She returned to marry Wm. HUDNALL in
Davidson County in 1886.

Searching for the ancestors of Andrew Jackson SLAUGHTER (b. 27 Jun 1838
in Columbia, Maury Co., TN). He was the son of Zebulon SLAUGHTER (b. abt
1812) and Sallie MATHIS (b. ca. 1813). On 6 Dec 1858, Andrew married
Margaret Lucinda SHELTON (b. 14 Oct 1839 in Murray, Calloway Co., KY),
daughter of John G. SHELTON and Grace Harriet HARPER.
My great grandfather Andrew (Andy) GOFORTH, middle name unknown, was
listed on the McMinn Co., TN, census in 1850 with his wife, Lydia Stewart
Goforth. He is 28, she is 26. Children are Margaret, age 4; Angeline,
age 2; Nancy, age 1; Amy Goforth (his mother)? is aged 49.
In the census of 1860 they are found in Meigs Co., TN. The census of 1870
finds them in Sebastion Co., Arkansas.
There is said to be an Andy H. GOFORTH on the census for Maury Co., TN,
for the census of 1820. However, nothing is said about his family
situation, all I have is his name. The census for Jefferson Co., 1840,
lists an Andrew GOFORTH, again with no further information. Can anyone
give me more information about this Andy GOFORTH of Maury Co., or Andrew
GOFORTH of Jefferson Co?
