My g-grandfather was William L. CONNELLY b. Sep 1847 in North Carolina.
William was in Maury Co., TN on the 1880 Census. That is the year my
grandfather was born and he is shown as Wesley Connelly on that census
with a sister Parthenia age 7 years. William L. CONNELLY was married to
Tempa R. GARDNER 8 Dec 1871. The family is listed on the 1890 TN census
with two more children Robert B. CONNELLY b. 27 Jan 1890 and
Jennie Mary CONNELLY b. May 1897. Tempa GARDNER was the daughter of
Jacob Darden GARDNER b. 1809 and Lucretia ADAIR b. 1811 in Maury Co.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for any and all information on my OWEN ancestors. In the
1820
census of Tennessee, James OWEN, John OWEN, William OWEN were all listed
as
being residents of Maury County. My gggrandfather William "Billie"OWEN had
sons named James, John, William, also sons Sterling, Smallwood, Pinckney
Winfield, Frank and daughters Caroline, Polly and Elizabeth (maybe Mary
Elizabeth). I have been told his wife's maiden name was PINCKNEY. I am
also
interested in contacting any PINCKNEY'S to establish connections. Pleas e-

I am seeking Bedford Forest DURHAM b: 1854 in Tenn , He married a
Sarah/Sallie JAMES b: 1855 In Tenn.
They are my Great Great Grandparents.
They were married Sept 1, 1875 in Maury County Tenn, they had 4 children
prior to coming to Texas, but I am only able to find 2 ,
Laura and William Bailey DURHAM and then in Texas they had
Mary and Samuel Lloyd DURHAM.
I have found there marriage listed in the Marriage Records for Tenn.

1790, m James HEARTLY), Mary (ca 1790, m George BRAZZELL), Retha (ca 1790).
Elijah Sr is said to have been from Scotland, but of Irish descent. He came
to this country to fight in the Revolution, possibly with brothers. He
settled in NC then went on to Maury co TN around 1805 - 1810.

I would like to correspond with anyone having information regarding the
extended MCCRACKEN family of Maury County before 1850. In particular, I
need to know the parentage of the John MCCRACKEN who was listed in the 1840
Maury Census. Was he the son of Ephraim MCCRACKEN of Maury and Yalobusha
Co., MS who is said to have died in Hickman Co., TN? Was he the John L.
MCCRACKEN who was mentioned in an 1844 Maury court case?
Also listed in the 1840 Maury Census was an Elizabeth MCCRACKEN. Was she
the widow of Joseph G. MCCRACKEN whose will was reportedly executed in 1834
Maury?

on Aug 10 1800. She married a Joseph Gill in Maury County, TN, on Aug 12,
1819. They had four children Nancy T., William, John, Elizabeth Ann Gill.
They re-located to Hamilton Count
y, IL before 1834. Joseph Gill was born Abt. 1797, in Ohio, KY.

EASTEP, LOVELL......I am attempting to locate any descendants of Margaret
Eastep. She was the
fiance of Harlis LOVELL (b. 2-3-24, d. 2-2-45) in 1943 when Harlis went
into the army, WWII.
Harlis was killed in action. Margaret was from Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.

interconnected families in Maury/Marshall Co. area. Especially need
relatives of R.N. (Robert or Reuban) Newton Straughn b. 1839, NC?, who
married Mary Ann Pilkinton in Maury Co. in 1859. (She was daughter of
Mary Ann Campbell & John M. Pilkinton and granddaughter of Larkin &
Nancy Pilkinton.) They had son, John B., b. ca 1862 who m. Mary C.,
Nealy, Pigg in 1882 and had children: Gid, Guy, and Jettie May. R.N.
was in 19th Biffle's Cavalry, CSA. Family moved to Marshall Co. and
later to Dyer Co.TN
