Can you believe everything you read in the Bible? According to the
Harris Bible recorded in Maury Co. Cousins there was a child of
Margaret HARRIS and James Fisher ROACH by the name of Jack. Does
anyone know anything about JACK ROACH? And a census record shows in
the HARRIS Household #230, living with J. HARRIS and H. HARRIS were
two ROACHES, both female, one eighteen and the other sixteen.
Initials J and T. Were these the children of James Fisher ROACH and
Margaret HARRIS ROACH? Also in this household were other HARRIS
children, THOMPSON children, and a black sixty-year-old laborer from
Virginia, J. JOHNSON.

Dear Researchers,
I would like to contact those who are interested in the following
marriage. 1864-Maury County, Tenn. Calvin B. Stewart, and Sarah
Covey.
I don't know anything about Sarah, or the descendents of this
marriage. Calvin B. was the son of William Calvin Steward and his
wife Elizabeth Gibson. He was born in 1847. Calvin's grandmother
was Peggy Stuart, located in the 1830 Lincoln Co. Tn. census, and
his grandfather was John Gibson, from Allen Co. Kentucky. I will

I am interested in corresponding with those who are search-
ing the couple Henry Gist and his wife Hettie Stewart. Henry was
born in 1806, and married Hettie Stewart in 1831/32 in Lincoln Co.
Tenn. The pastor was Ebenezer McEwen. Hettie was born in 1815-16
and was the dau. of Peggy Stuart, (1830 Lincoln Co. Tenn census).
Henry fought in the Seminole Indian War of 1836, and enlisted in
Fayetteville, Lincoln Co. Tenn. After the war they moved to Maury
Co. and he died there on 26 January 1851. Hetty applied for free
land under the widow's act of 1850, and was granted land in Maury
Co. it is believed. She filed for this land in Maury Co. court in
1855. They had at least four children, two of them were named David
and Calvin B. Calvin was named for his uncle, Calvin B. Stewart.
David did serve in the civil war for the confederacy. It is belived
that one or both of these boys moved to Lawrence Co. and one of
them married a Workman in 1859, later moved to Obion Co. Any queries
will be answer

I would like to correspond with those interested in Calvin
B. Stewart and his wife, Mary Ann Henson. Calvin was born in Miss.
on Sept 21, 1825, married Mary Ann, (dau. of Nathan Henson and
Nancy Gilmore) in 1849. They may have lived right on the county
line between Giles and Maury near Gibsonville. They had a number
of children and I feel there are descendents in Columbia and
especially Mt. Pleasant areas. Calvin died on 11 June 1905, and
his wife Mary Ann died in 1915. Calvin is buried at Gibsonville.
Several of the sons are known. James Turner, (1859-1936), John
Wesley, (1855-1924), and Jackson Riley, (1850's - ?) I have a
copy of the family bible information. Several of the relatives
are buried at Spencer Hill Cem. Appreciate all answers and will
