information on my great grandfather, WILLIAMGILBREATH, who was born in 1827 and died in
Confederate hospital,Vicksburg, in 1862. He was supposedly wounded in Shiloh and died ofwounds
at Vicksburg, although this seems to be awfully far. I wouldlike to find out where he is buried

Genealogy Volume 1. It will cover the descendants of John Cathey.
Most if not all of the Catheys from Maury Co. are descendants of his.
His Grandson is the John Cathey that died in 1824 in Maury County. At
this time we are requesting that anyone that has information on this

I am looking for information about a William Woodson Amis family. He
was b. Dec 4, 1789 N.C. and married Mary G. Anderson b. Jan 3, 1805
VA. They had a son Thomas Jefferson Amis b. abt 1834. He may be my
GGgrandfather. If this is correct he married Elizabeth Ann Jackson
Martin in 1860, lived in Obion Co. for a short time, was killed at
battle of Shiloh. He never saw his only son, also named Thomas
Jefferson Amis II. I believe this family lived in Maury Co. I would
like to see any wills or deed records, death notices or anything that
might lead to proving this connection.
I am also looking for the parents of Anderson Boone b. 1808 in
NC. For a while about 1850 he lived in Maury CO. Married a Lucinda,
and had a son Francis Marion Boone. Later moved to Obion Co. Does
anyone have any mention of an Anderson Boone having lived in Maury
CO.?

I am doing some research for my grandmother. We would like to find
out where her Great Grandfather, Wiley Stewart is buried. The best
that we have to go on is that he lived in and around Hickman,
Williamson, and Maury county throughout his life, and is probably
buried in one of the three. I realize that those 3 counties is a
tremendous area to cover, but if I could just get some help on
specifically who to contact in those counties for such records, as
burials, I would appreciate it. If you have any suggestions, they
would be greatly appreciated.
Wiley Stewart was born ca. 1842, and died 3-14-1901. He had two
wives both named Mary, the first was a Forrester, the second was a
Howard. He also had several children by each wife.

JOHNSTON, William Sharpe Justice of the Peace, license issued 19 Jan
1829. John G HENSLEY and His wife Easter were found in the 1850 and
1860 Cencus. In 1860 According to the cencus John was 54 and Easter
was 56. They had 6 children living at home during this time; 1 Arther

I am trying to find information about John MCFADDEN, born 21 November
1790, died 19 July 1832 in Maury County, Tennessee. He is buried in
the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. He married Sarah on

Searching for information on my great grandparents, Hurt Wilks (or
Wilkes) ADKISSON, born in Bigbyville, TN on Feb.15, 1879. He married
Frances Felicia BOGAJSKI on Dec. 21, 1911. His occupation is listed
as railroad worker and farm foreman. The information I have on his
parents is sketchy: His father was John ADKISSON and his mother was
Ruth BURKETT, both from Columbia, TN. John ADKISSON's occupation is
listed as farmer and he served in the Civil War. This is all that I

Can anyone help me in locating further information about the
following:
W.N. and Martha, 1866 Of Maury County, Tenn. Assigned Power of
Attorney to Robert Fullerton of Lincoln County - to collect any
legacy that might be due them from the estate of William Lay, now
deceased, late of Lincoln County, Tenn. 26 February, 1866. Signed
William N. Wright and Martha L. Wright. [She was probably Martha Lay
Wright, second wife of W.N.? Check Bible records for death of Mary
Buchanan, his first wife. Thanks Grace
