with his daughter Anna Collins Hines. The document was witnessed by Sally
Collins believed to be Anna's Mother. Anna's known brothers, Jeremiah and
William Collins, witnessed the sale of David Hines' slaves in 1825. Believe
another child of Stephen and Sally Collins to be Sarah C. Hamlett, wife of
William Hamlett also of Maury Co., TN. Wish proof. The Collins family had

Looking for information on James age(40) and Elizabeth age
(43) SWEET. He was born in Tenn somewhere and she in NC. Her maiden name may
have been EWING. In the 1850 Maury County Census they are listed with their
three children Theophilus 20, John 16, Elizabeth 13, and an additional
individual living in their home Obedience WIGS 60 James, Elizabeth, and
Theophilus ended up in Franklin Co. IL Elizabeth age 13 in this Census later
married Emanuel J. SWOFFORD. These two are my gggg grandparents.

LEE H WISDOM owned 163 acres situated in the 5th
District. LEANDER (Lee) died during the Civil War leaving a widow and 4
children who moved to Polk Co. AR after the Civil War. The land belonged to
GEORGE WALLS before LEE H. WISDOM. ROBERT DICKEY was to rent and manage
property for MRS. WISDOM, he being her brother-in-law. The land was situated
on MUCKLE Branch. This was the second Decree by Court. The land was surveyed
this February 17, 1888. R.P. YANCY was the commissioner appointed by Court. A
Deed from GEORGE L.H. WISDOM of Polk Co., Ar (son of Lee H Wisdom) to J.R.
& MARY THOMASON in this case. A Big controversy between MADISON FAUGHT and
others over 163 acres on Muckle branch, 5th Dist, Giles Co., TN. MADISON
FAUGHT had lived on the land for many years. Seeking parentage of Lee H.
Wisdom.

The
NOBLE'S came from VA through GA. Next I find them in Maury County, TN around
1808-1811 before moving into AL. I heard STEPHEN all my life and that JOSEPH
was his father. However, reserch seems to suggest they are the same: JOSEPH
STEPHEN NOBLE. He was a surveyor and active in local events. He has been named
as founder of a couple of towns in AL. His is my brickwall. Any info will be

POLK, BLACK - Looking for information on Presley Powell POLK
born near Columbia in Maury county in 1885. He had two brothers, Marion
Francis POLK and Frank Madden POLK and two sisters Molly and Sally. One of the
sisters married a man named BLACK and they had three children, Walter, Roger
and Marg. Any information welcome.

searching for info on George W. RUSSELL(or H.W.) b. c1813 TN. He was in Maury
Co.1850, 1860, 1870 census. He is listed in the 1860/70 as H. W. Cannot find
any trace of him after that. He was a brickmason as was his son Phillip
Jefferson b c1847 TN. He is listed in 1850 with Spouse Milley 27 bMO; in 1860
w/Milly 34 bAL; 1870 w/Nelly 45 bTN, same children. Grateful for any
information.
