County, not sure of dates. He's buried in Perry County. Also
researching my husband's great grandfather John Estes and also his
grandmother Jeanette (Nettie) Estes who was married to Will Andrew

grandmother (Not sure of her name). She also had an uncle Lonnie
Estes. Would appreciated any info on these people. Also does Maury

Does "Buck" or "Pony" Waldrop ring a bell? James Andrew "Buck" and
David Berryman "Pony" were sons of Andrew Jackson and Eugenia
Katherine (Compton) Waldrop. Buck was born Oct. 22, 1871; Pony was
born Sep. 28, 1874; both in Giles Co, TN. Pony married Lucy
Catherine Cole, the daughter of a friend he met in Cedar Hill, TN,
while working as a logger. Pony and Lucy are my Great-grandparents.
They are thought to live on the Giles/Maury county line. I am trying
to find any written documents of their birth listing their parents,
any marriage documents, and his death.

I am searching for the family of William P. Taylor in 1870. I found
this family in 1850 in Maury Co., Tenn. after he had lost his first
wife Minerva and married Miss Nancy D. SCOTT. They moved to
Lauderdale Co., Ala. and then later returned to Tennessee. They were
living in Marshall Co., Tenn. prior to 1876 because one of the
daughters Betty P. TAYLOR married William B. KANNON on 26 Oct. 1876
in that county. The KANNONs made their home on Greasy Branch Rd. in
Maury Co. Where was the family of William P. Taylor living in 1870?
Who was Nancy D. SCOTT's parents. Both Wm. P. TAYLOR and Nancy D.
SCOTT were born in Virginia. One child was born from the 1st marriage
of Wm. P. TAYLOR, the child's name was Susan D. TAYLOR. Children from
the 2nd marriage were Docia Ophelia TAYLOR, Lucy F. TAYLOR, and Betty
P. TAYLOR. There may have been others, but until I locate this family
on the 1870 census somewhere, I won't know for sure. Please help.

Want to find relatives of a woman named Belle DOCKERY. She would
probably have been born sometime during the period of 1840 - 1845.
I found a picture of her in my great grandmother's things. The
photo, which is in excellent shape is in a small oval frame that
closes. On the inside lid, opposite the picture it says, "Belle
Dockery, my room-mate , Columbia, Tenn"
Contact me by email if you have an interest in having this photo
and are a descendant.

Looking for info on Charles Whitfield HOFFMAN, born circa 1856 in
Maury County to Charles E. (or Edward C.) HOFFMAN (also HUFFMAN in
some records) and his wife Mary Isabella RUSSELL HOFFMAN. He had
four siblings, John H., Mary E. , E. A. (only know initials), and
James E. Charles E. came to the US from Saxony, Germany with his
parents, John G. and Christiana HUFFMAN, in the 1830s and had settled
in Maury County. The HUFFMANS are in the 1840 and 1850 census, but
disappear after that. However, Mary I. HOFFMAN (recorded as E.
Hoofman) reappears in the 1870 census as a widow with 4 children and
living with her brother George Whitfield RUSSELL. Mary HOFFMAN
appears again in the 1880 census as Mary I. HOFFMAN and has 5
children. Want to connect with anyone who may know the fate of the
Hoffmans. I am descended from Charles Whitfield Hoffman and can
share info. I especially want to connect with an "A. Thompson" who
posted a Maury County query in Oct 1998, but has since changed
