Looking for info on WILLIAM RICHARDSON. Married Cathryn Raney(Rainy)
1847 in Lincoln Co., but daughter Ann was born in Columbia, Maury
Co., 1861, therefore suspect he was there when enlisted in Civil War.
His grandson said he was a Confederate soldier taken prisoner.

information for a man named Abijah Davis MITCHELL. I do know that he
was born on May 25, 1797 in VA and died on July 25, 1891 in Culoeka,
Maury County TN. I believe that he was married to Mary/Polly Wells.

I have reason to believe that my Jesse Benthall (Benthal) might have
been in Maury Co., TN in 1880. Does anyone have the 1880 Index and
if he IS there, have the complete 1880? His wife was Rhoda Elizabeth
Rust. His daughters, Martha, Eletha, and Sarah Jane would have been
with them.

Looking for Samuel M. Johnson b. circa 1802 possibly S. C. or N. C.
living in Maury Co. during 1815-1844. His wife was Elizabeth
Collins, according to family records. Children: Lucretia C. Johnson
b. Tn.; Samuel James Johnson b. Tn.; Alice M. Johnson b. 3 May
Columbia, Maury Co., Tn. and Elizabeth Bernice Johnson b. Ar.
Elizabeth Collins is thought to have had a sister named Frances
Collins that married a Tom Neely, Methodist Minister. Any
information on any of these people is greatly appreciated. I will

Looking for Help and information on a Green Dotson/Dodson. He was
born about 1819/1822. Green may or may not be his first name, it
could be a shortened first or middle name. Or it could be from his
mother`s maiden name, or from his father`s side. He and or his family
migrated to Arkansas in the late 1820`s or early 1830`s. Green
purchased land in Izard Co, Ark in 1839, now part of Fulton Co, Ark.
He also purchased land in 1857, and 1860 Fulton Co, Ark. He married
twice, first wife`s name was Nancy, they had three boys, one girl.
Second wife`s name was Mary Porter, they had one boy and one girl.I

Trying to establish that Edward McCafferty, Jr. is same Edward

I am looking for information about William Connor Lawhorn, who I
believe was born in Maury County, or his father William Thomas
Lawhon, his wife Drucilla Cathcart or his father Joshua D. Lawhorn
(Wife Lucy) or his father William O'Connor Lawhorn, wife Betty
Lincoln Lawhorn. These people came from NC and lived in Maury County
from ABT 1830 to 1850. They left Maury County and went to Posey

I am seeking information on my grandfathers on both sides of the
family.The first is Thomas LEE TEMES. He was born 11/29/1893 and died
5/76.I have no information on his mother,father, grandparents,etc...
His father was G.W. TEMES and his mother was MARTHA LOU WILSON,who
later became MARTHA LOU DERRYBERRY.His wife was MARY ELIZABETH
RAGAN.My other grandfather was ROBERT EARL GREEN.He was born in 1907
and died on a troop ship during WWII on 12/23/1943. He was married to

Susan Sargent of Maury Co. I can't help with parents of James Allen
who married Susan Sargent, but am believed directly related to her
brother F.M. (Francis Marion "Frank" Sargent) b 1844, and d 1920.

am decended from TX Sargents in that area. I would like any info on

John CURRY was born about 1810 in Virginia. John Curry married Annie
of Tennessee. Their children were Alice (b. 1843), Rosanna (b.
1847), and Margaret (b. 1859). Margaret Teliltia Curry married John
William LOVE. Margaret died in Tennessee and John died in Buel,
Texas in 1890. Margaret and John Love's chidren were Minnie, Samuel,
Ruth, Bertha and Pearl Love.

James Madison Allen married Susan Sargent in 1858 in Maury Ct Tn.
They lived in Williamsport or Sawdust Valley 10 miles west of
Columbia.Later they moved to Wayne Ct. His mother's name was
Avarilla. What was her maiden name? Who was his father? They appear
in the 1850 Census of Maury Ct. Susan Sargent's family is well
documented. James rode with General Forrest during the War of

Searching for parents of my great-grandfather, William Maxwell
STAGGS, b. ca mid 1860s, married Martha (Mattie) NICHOLS of Mt.
Pleasant ca 1880s. They had four children, Jessie, Maude, Jennie and
Carrie. He moved ca 1900 to Washington State for awhile, then
returned to Tennessee in the 19-teens. His second wife's name was
Lula.

BOWDEN (b. ca. 1820 prob. Maury Co. TN) and his ancestors and
descendants. He married Mary A. BALDRIDGE 30 Jan 1839 in Maury Co.
Their children were Nancy Elmira (1840-1920), Robert C. (b. 1842),
James (b. 1844), William D. (b. 1848). Robert Cary BOWDEN probably
died before 1870. Mary (Baldridge) Bowden was listed in Culleoka,
Maury Co., in 1870.

Searching information on the CULBERTSON family of Maury County, TN.
In the 1830 census there is Arron, Andrew, and John CULBERTSON. In
the 1840 census they have all left Maury County. Does anyone have

Looking To Maury County, Tennessee for information on the decendents
of John N. Nelson who was born approximately 1826 and was married to
Ibby (?) born approximately 1832. In the 1850 census he had a child

Searching for information about property that belonged to a Elizabeth
(Lizzie) Thomas? She was the second wife of James Andrew Wallace my
great great grandfather and he is reported to have been buried in a
family cemetary on the old Thomas Property that was last owned by
Jack Calvin wallace. Mt Pleasant area Maury county. He died in 1913.
Jack Calvin Wallace is buried in the spencer Hill Cemetary on elk
Ridge road!

Looking for info relating to my BROWN ancestors who lived near Spring
Hill, Maury Co., TN in the 1800s. Earliest known is my gggrandfather
Erwin BROWN b.1822/NC. He was married in Maury Co. in 1839 to
Parthena JOHNSON b.1822/TN, dau. of William and Lucy (AYRES)JOHNSON.
Per 1850 Maury Co. census, Erwin has sons Richard 9, William 7, and
Thomas 2. In 1860 census Erwin and Parthena are living in house with
Armstrong COLLINS age 82 and Mary COLLINS age 15, both newly married
(to each other?). Believe Erwin's son Richard married in Maury Co.
to Sara Lamiza RAGAN in 1861 and then to her sister Elizabeth RAGAN
in 1872. Both were dau. of Thompson and Nancy (MCPHERSON) RAGAN.
I'm interested in connection between BROWN and COLLINS families, and
additional info about this BROWN family.
