Searching for any info on my g-grandfather Woodson Henry DODSON who
was born in 1869. His fathers name was Joseph DODSON and his mothers
name was Margaret or Elizabeth HENRY. Woodson married 1st wife named
Elizabeth. They adopted a son (my grandfather) at 3 mths. and his
name was Wilber. After adoption they changed his name to Henry Allen
DODSON. After Elizabeth died he married 2nd wife Wavie Lou CRANFORD.
They had four sons. I am searching for info on the birth parents of
my grandfather Henry Allen DODSON. I have no info on them because he
was adopted at 3 moths. by Woodson. My uncle told me that all he had
ever heard is that my real birth g-grandmother had gotten pregnant
and was made to marry and after the baby was born that she could not
handle the baby. So, Woodson was a friend of the family and took him
in and adopted him. I hope this was not to confusing. Please let me
know if any of this sounds familiar to anyone. Thanks
