My gg-grandmother was Margaret A. Elizabeth Wittenberg (1864-1954).
She filled out a pension application in 1931, where she said he
birthplace was "Murry", TN. Since I couldn't find a "Murry" as a
city, I'm guessing it was Maury County. She also said that she had
moved to Arkansas about 1876. Are there any Wittenbergs in Maury
County? My gg-grandmother died in Helena, Phillips County, AR in
1954.

I am a soldier and journalist currently stationed in Wuerzburg, GE,
who has recently begun doing research on my family history. I have
found that there is a large concentration of STOCKARDs located in
Wayne County, Tennessee. I have uncles by the names of, Howard
STOCKARD (TN), and Donald STOCKARD (UT), and my father is Kenneth
STOCKARD, originally from Wayne County. My late paternal grandparents
were Herman STOCKARD and ("Willie") Ruth STOCKARD. I don't know many
of my family past that, but I'd like to. We used to have reunions in
Davy Crockett Park in Tennessee. That's all I can remember. If you
have any info or could assist me in learning more about my family,

ALLEN,James Robert used the name of Robert ALLEN; wife: Sarah BRADLEY
daughter of Mark BRADLEY from Wayne County, Tn.,
James Shelton ALLEN (Shell) (Son of Robert and Sarah).
Shell ALLEN and Leona DAVIS had a son who was my father. Leona was
my grandmother. I never knew her, and what I have learned about her
is that she left Seth Robert ALLEN(my father)at the depot in Maury
County, she was having a rough time raising her children and Mrs.
Jennie Pennington took him in along with his half-brother. Both
boys grew up and Seth was an electrician in Nashville, and
Frank ALLEN lived his life in Maury County, Tn. He worked for the
L&N railroad,(engineer).
Your help would be greatly appreciated if you have any knowledge of
this family, regardless of what it might be I would greatly
appreciate
