Am looking for my grandmother's name and any info that can be
obtained. She died in summer of 1893. She was married to Jim
(James) PINKSTON and they had 4 children: Francis Adrian b. 9-8-79,
d. ll-64; Ida Mae b. 5-10-1883 or 1884, d. 5-8-1969; James Audie
b.about 1887 or 1888, died 1964; and Bessie (Sarah Margaret
Elizabeth), my mother, b. 2-16-1891, d. 2-18-1980. Mother never
talked about her mother much - who died when she was only 2 years old
at the time. Jim was a carpenter in Columbia before moving his
family to Nashville between 1900 and WWII. He never remarried and
died in Nashville 11-1923 being buried in a cemetery on a hill near
Smyrna Church of Christ (possibly the PINKSTON-WATSON cemetery). His
wife probably was buried there when she died. They had relatives in
Columbia, Bryants Station, Parks Station, Silver Creek, and
Lewisburg. Any information you can find would be appreciated.
