Unknown Workers with an Old Shay Engine
My father, Claude Spivey, said this is one of the old Shay Engines that his father,
Luther Adniram Spivey, worked on when they lived in Monroe Co., TN and he worked for
Babcock Lumber Company. He thinks that may be him sitting on the front of the engine,
but it is unknown who the engineer is.
Could possibly be members of the Spivey, Ellis, Rhea, Hunt, Kilby, Martin, Orr,
Smalling, Barrett, Evans, Bell, Plemons, Davis, Freemon, and Bryson families.
Does anyone know any of these people?
