Mollie Powers Gafford, 83, Rt. 1, Erin died at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after and extended illness.

She was a housewife and a member of Midway Pentecostal Church.

Services held at Naves Erin Chapel with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Born in Montgomery County, Sept. 11, 1898. she was the daughter of the late Henry Powers and Ada McCaullum Powers.

Survived by: her husband William Shelt Gafford; s son, Luther Gafford, Erin; five daughters, Myrtle Horn and Vilot Bailey, Erin, Evelyn Coakley, Clarksville, Mary Ann Austin, Nashville and Dorothy Morrison, Maine; a sister, Nannie Sinks, Taylor, Mich.; and 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
