Mrs. Griffin

June 18, 1972

  ERIN-Mrs. Lizzie Powers Griffin, 85, died Sunday in General Care Convalescent Home, Clarksville, after a long illness.

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Nave Funeral Home by the Rev. E.C. Sheppard. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery.

  Mrs. Griffin was born in Houston Co., April 6, 1887, daughter of the late George and Mary Buckingham Powers.

  Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Wildfong, Cudahy, Calif.; four sons, George, Clarksville; Carmon, Southfield, Mich.; Hugh, Lakeside, Calif., and Thomas Griffin, Des Moine, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. D.E. Marble and Mrs. T.E. Bateman; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers will be George Griffin Jr., Edward Suggs, Oliver Suggs, Francis Dowdy, Arthur Marable, Buford Fuzzell and Neil Bateman.
